Dear filmmakers,

Due to the presence of the upcoming presidential debate, we have decided to postpone the BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Awards and the week-long BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Experience, inclusive of the 2024 BGR! FILM FEST. The debate is scheduled on the same night as BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Award Show, within a mile of our event, and this could present significant logistical challenges for our event due to possible large gatherings, street closures and traffic.

While we are disappointed by this delay, the safety and convenience of everyone is our top priority. The new dates for the BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Experience will be forthcoming soon and the BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Awards will still air on August 1st, on Lifetime. We look forward to celebrating with you in the coming weeks. Thank you for your continued support!

*QUALITY STANDARDS MUST BE MET. BELOW 720P RESOLUTION, POOR AUDIO QUALITY, ETC WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

*FILMS CONTAINING ANY OTHER LANGUAGE THAN ENGLISH, MUST HAVE ENGLISH SUBTITLES.

*FILMS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN THE LAST TWO YEARS.

*ALL GENRES ARE ACCEPTED.

*ALL FEES ARE NON TRANSFERABLE AND NON REFUNDABLE.

    The opportunity to screen But Tomorrow at the inaugural BGR! Film Fest was epic! Not only did I feel supported by the festival team and founder, Beverly Bond, but I built new relationships with powerful, talented filmmakers that will last well into the future. Thank you for having so many members of our crew on that stage. We hope to make it in future years.
