BEX is Southern WV's premiere film, music, arts, and culture festival taking over Beckley, WV from June 20th - 27th. This event showcases creators from around the region with support by national and international artists and participants. All are welcome here in WV!
Our inaugural 2019 fest heavily featured rural filmmakers from around the globe, including a special screening and live guest appearance by creators from Wakaliwood Studios, Uganda. Some of our films incorporated interactive elements, which we encourage for 2020's programming. The festival this year is slated to run nearly the entire week and will include a filmmaking workshop spearheaded by professional leaders of our regional filmmaking scene.
Our prizes will not carry heavy monetary value, but will be awarded for quality and other specialized categories.
