In alignment with the Nature • Nurture • Future framework, submitted films should:
A. Nurture – Human Values & Child Development
Films are expected to strengthen universal human values, including:
- Family, friendship, and childhood experiences
- Empathy, mutual understanding, respect, and diversity
- Creativity, imagination, and talent development
- Learning, education, and emotional growth
- Appreciation of life, dignity, and care for others
Films should highlight positive human qualities, such as:
- Kindness, friendliness, and compassion
- Optimism, joy, and emotional resilience
- Responsibility, diligence, and cooperation
- Generosity, humor, and intelligence
B. Nature – Environmental Awareness & Sustainability
BAIK Film Fest encourages films that:
- Promote respect and care for nature and biodiversity
- Foster ecological awareness and sustainability
- Encourage harmonious relationships between children and their environment
- Reflect agricultural, rural, or natural landscapes as spaces of learning and play
C. Future – Innovation, Creativity & Social Responsibility
Films are welcome that:
- Present innovative and ethical solutions to social, cultural, or educational challenges
- Inspire children to imagine positive futures
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and civic awareness
- Explore technology, society, and culture in child-appropriate and constructive ways
2. Ineligible Content
To maintain a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly festival environment, BAIK Film Fest 2026 does not consider films that center on or promote destructive content, including:
A. Human Personality & Psychological Harm
- Graphic or prolonged depictions of suffering
- Psychological disorders presented without educational or protective framing
- Suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or despair-driven narratives
- Alcohol, drug use, or addiction as a narrative focus
B. Family, Social, and Interpersonal Conflict
- Violence, abuse, or criminal behaviour
- Scandals, betrayal, or destructive relational dynamics
- War, armed conflict, or social trauma presented without age-appropriate mediation
- Narratives normalizing neglect, cruelty, or irresponsibility toward others
C. Environment & Planetary Harm
- Disrespectful, exploitative, or careless treatment of nature
- Harm to wildlife, plants, or ecosystems without an educational context
- Narratives that legitimize environmental destruction
3. Inclusivity and Child Safety
All films must uphold:
- Child safety and emotional well-being
- Inclusivity for children of diverse abilities, backgrounds, and sensitivities
- Respectful representation aligned with BAIK Film Fest’s inclusive screening principles
4. Technical Rules
- Film submissions are open from 07 January to 07 March 2026 and must be submitted via FilmFreeway or the festival’s Official Website Platform.
-Submitted films must have been produced on or after 07 January 2024, except for films officially invited by the festival.
- The festival accepts both live-action and animated films.
- The maximum running time for short films is 20 minutes.
- The maximum running time for animated short films is 15 minutes.
- All submitted films must have a minimum resolution of 1080p (Full HD).
- English subtitles are mandatory for all submissions.
- A press kit is mandatory for all submissions.
- The festival does not consider films that depict or promote destructive themes or -imagery, including:
> Human personality and mental well-being: excessive suffering, psychological disorders, suicidal ideation, alcohol or drug addiction, and related issues.
> Family, interpersonal, and social relations: scandals, betrayal, violence, unresolved conflicts or melodrama, neglectful or harmful behaviour toward others, crime, war, and similar subjects.
> The environment: disrespectful or harmful portrayals of nature, plant life, wildlife, or the planet as a whole.
