Azra Savasan, born in 2004 in Istanbul, Turkey, is an aspiring video editor and filmmaker. She is currently an International Baccalaureate High-Level Film student at The Koç School and is the main founder of The Koc Film Club where she teaches students cinematography, screenwriting, directing and editing. She has also completed the Prague Film School summer programme with 2 films. Her main interests include Animation and VFX and her computer knowledge includes After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Houdini and Blender. She has shot 15+ films throughout her career using Marxist theory, feminist theory and experimental techniques. Her main inspiration is the author Franz Kafka and his critique of the corrupt operation of society. She usually tackles with global issues prominent in Turkey such as gender inequality, child marriages, immigration, fragmented mind and abuse of power.
