---------------- Art. 1 - Regolamento - Competition rules.
Il 2° Circuito Nazionale Cortometraggi DiAF TIMELINE 2022 è coordinato dal DiAF Dipartimento Audiovisivi della FIAF, Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche, e si articola in n° 3 “tappe “, da realizzarsi tra Giugno e Ottobre 2022, ciascuna organizzata dai Circoli Fotografici aderenti con lo scopo di diffondere la cultura del cortometraggio. Ogni tappa è un Concorso indipendente, con una propria Giuria, che avrà il compito di valutare e classificare gli audiovisivi pervenuti assegnando i premi in palio.

The 2nd DiAF TIMELINE 2022 National Short Films Circuit is coordinated by DiAF Audiovisual Department of FIAF, Italian Federation of Photographic Associations, and is divided into 3 "stages", to be carried out between June and October 2022, each organized by the participating Photographic Clubs with the aim to spread the culture of the short film. Each stage is an independent competition, with its own Jury, which will have the task of evaluating and classifying the audiovisuals received and assigning the prizes. 


---------------- Art. 2 - Obiettivo - Objective and purpose.
L’obbiettivo è quello di realizzare un punto di riferimento per giovani e appassionati del settore. Un “nuovo” Circuito di cortometraggi in grado di valorizzare il talento di autori italiani e di tutto il mondo senza limiti di genere. Una commissione di esperti selezionerà i 20 migliori cortometraggi che verranno ammessi alla valutazione dalle Giurie. Le giurie saranno composte da professionisti ed esperti italiani del cinema e dell’audiovisivo delle singole tappe del Circuito.

The goal is to create a reference point for young people and enthusiasts. 
A "new" Circuit of short films capable of enhancing the talent of Italian and international authors without genre limits. A commission of experts will select the 20 best short films that will be admitted to the evaluation by the Juries. The Juries will be composed of Italian cinema and audiovisual professionals and experts from the individual stages of the Circuit.

---------------- Art. 3 - Caratteristiche delle opere partecipanti - Characteristic of the participating works.
I cortometraggi presentati dovranno rispondere ai seguenti requisiti imprescindibili:
dovrà trattarsi di lavori autoprodotti;
la tematica è libera.;
verrà data molta importanza all’originalità della colonna sonora: pertanto, verranno privilegiati lavori nei quali audio e video si integrano ed arricchiscono vicendevolmente, evitando di relegare alla musica di accompagnamento l’intera colonna sonora;
ogni autore potrà presentare un massimo di 3 (tre) opere;
la durata di ogni singola opera non dovrà essere superiore ai 20’ titoli compresi;
le opere con lingua originale diversa dall’italiano devono essere sottotitolate in italiano o in inglese; il file STR, oltre che essere inglobato nel video, dovrà essere inviato separatamente alla mail di riferimento insieme al resto del materiale necessario all’iscrizione;
Le opere partecipanti al Circuito possono essere inedite o presentate ad altri concorsi sia in Italia che all’estero purché realizzate non prima del 2019;
verranno escluse opere che hanno partecipato alla precedente edizione del concorso TIMELINE;
verranno escluse opere di videoarte o cortometraggi realizzati a scopo commerciale.

The short movies presented must meet the following essential requirements:
They must be self-produced works;
The theme is free;
Great importance will be given to the originality of the soundtrack: therefore, priority will be given to works in which audio and video complement and enrich each other, avoiding relegating the entire soundtrack to accompanying music.
Each author can submit a maximum of 3 (three) works.
The duration of each individual work must not exceed 20’ titles included.
Works in an original language other than Italian must be subtitled in Italian or English; the STR file, in addition to being incorporated into the video, must be sent separately to the reference email along with the rest of the material required for registration.
The works participating in the Circuit may be unpublished or presented in other competitions both in Italy and abroad as long as they are made no earlier than 2019.
Works that participated in the previous edition of the TIMELINE competition will be excluded.
Video art works or short films made for commercial purposes will be excluded.

---------------- Art. 4 - Quote di iscrizione - Registration feed.
La quota d’iscrizione, per tutte le tappe del circuito è di € 10,00 per opera presentata e dovrà avvenire direttamente dal portale FilmFreeway.
Ad ogni partecipante ammesso alla fase finale al circuito, con residenza o recapito postale in Italia, sarà inviata una copia della rivista TIMELINE.
Per chi non fosse iscritto alla FIAF, tramite il concorso è prevista la possibilità di iscriversi all’associazione a quota agevolata (€. 35,00). Per informazioni visitate il sito https://iscrizioni.fiaf.net/

The registration fee for all stages of the circuit is € 10.00 per work presented and must be done directly from the FilmFreeway portal.
Each participant admitted to the final phase of the circuit, with residence or postal address in Italy, will receive a copy of the TIMELINE magazine.
For those who are not registered with FIAF, through the competition there is the possibility of registering with the association at a reduced rate (€. 35.00).

---------------- Art. 5 - Calendario edizione 2022 - 2022 edition calendar.
Termine invio opere e documentazione: 30 aprile 2022
Comunicazione delle ammissioni: 20 maggio 2022
Ogni circolo organizzerà la propria premiazione di tappa e comunicherà agli autori premiati luogo, data, orario e premi assegnati. La premiazione della classifica finale e dei premi speciali del 2° Circuito si svolgerà il 29 ottobre 2022 a Garda (VR) presso il Resort Poiano all’interno del 26° Seminario DiAF. La premiazione ed il dibattito con gli autori, siano esse live o online, delle opere selezionate avverranno nelle citate date del seminario tramite comunicazione attraverso la mail fornita in fase di iscrizione, sul sito https://fiaf.net/diaf/2-concorso-cortometraggi/ e sui canali social del DiAF. Gli autori delle opere selezionate verranno avvertiti con congruo anticipo per partecipare alle giornate di premiazione e dibattito.

Each club will organize its own stage award ceremony and will communicate the place, date, time and prizes awarded to the award-winning authors. 
The award ceremony for the final classification and the special prizes of the 2nd Circuit will take place on 29 October 2022 in Garda (VR) at the Poiano Resort within the 26th DiAF Seminar. 
The award ceremony and the debate with the authors, whether live or online, of the selected works will take place on the aforementioned dates of the seminar via communication via the email provided during registration, on the website https://fiaf.net/diaf/2-concorso-cortometraggi/ and on the channels social network of the DiAF. The authors of the selected works will be notified well in advance to participate in the awards and debate days.

---------------- Art. 6 - Giuria - Juri.
Ogni giuria di tappa sarà tassativamente formata da 3 elementi tra cui:
un rappresentante del Circolo Organizzatore
due giurati con qualifica cinematografica/comunicazione/musicale
Gli autori partecipanti al Circuito non potranno far parte di nessuna delle Giurie previste. I membri del comitato organizzatore, i membri della giuria ed i loro familiari non possono partecipare al concorso. 



Each stage Jury will strictly consist of 3 elements including:
a representative of the Organizing Club
two jurors with film / communication / music qualifications
The authors participating in the Circuit will not be able to be part of any of the Juries of the Circuit. The members of the organizing committee, the members of the Jury and their families cannot participate in the competition.

---------------- Art. 8 - Classifiche - Stage classifications.
Il DiAF, coordinatore del Circuito, invierà ad ogni autore ammesso le classifiche di ogni tappa con le motivazioni della Giuria per i primi cinque classificati. Tutte le classifiche di tappa e la classifica finale 2022 saranno rese note e comunicate agli Autori entro il 12 settembre 2022.

DiAF, coordinator of the Circuit, will send to each admitted author the rankings of each stage with the motivations of the Jury for the first five classified. All the stage rankings and the final 2022 ranking will be made known and communicated to the Authors by 12 September 2022.

---------------- Art. 9 - invio delle opere - Sending to works.
Ogni autore dovrà iscriversi al portale www.filmfreeway.com (gratuito) e aggiungere la scheda del proprio cortometraggio, avendo inoltre cura di compilare tutti i campi richiesti (sinossi, biografia, composizione del team, etc). Successivamente deve iscrivere la propria opera al concorso, utilizzando il seguente link https://filmfreeway.com/AwardTimeLine, rendendo obbligatoriamente scaricabile il file attraverso apposita spunta sul sito FilmFreeway in fase di registrazione del film (sezione privacy). Il file dell’audiovisivo dovrà essere di tipo mp4, compressione H.264, risoluzione minima FULLHD max 4gb.
Dovrà inoltre compilare e firmare la scheda di iscrizione allegata al presente regolamento e trasmetterla in un unico file ZIP o RAR all’indirizzo corti.diaf@gmail.com come allegato:
una breve bio dell’autore con traduzione in inglese (massimo 80 battute);
una sinossi del corto con traduzione in inglese (massimo 130 battute);
una foto dell’autore;
la locandina del corto;
5 frame significativi;
Trailer del corto (se disponibile).
Nel caso l'opera non risulti scaricabile e/o non venga inviata la documentazione richiesta entro il termine di invio delle opere, decadrà l'ammissione alla fase finale.

Each author must register on the portal www.filmfreeway.com (free) and add the profile of his short film, also taking care to fill in all the required fields (synopsis, biography, composition of the team, etc). 
Subsequently, he must register his work for the competition, using the following link https://filmfreeway.com/AwardTimeLine, making the file compulsorily downloadable by checking the FilmFreeway site when registering the film (privacy section). 
The audiovisual file must be of the mp4 type, H.264 compression, minimum resolution FULLHD max 4gb.
They must also complete and sign the registration form attached to this regulation and send it in a single ZIP or RAR file to the address corti.diaf@gmail.com as an attachment:
A short bio of the author with an English translation (maximum 80 characters);
A synopsis of the short with an English translation (maximum 130 characters);
A photo of the author;
The poster of the short;
5 significant frames:
Trailer of the short (if available).
If the work is not downloadable and / or the required documentation is not sent by the deadline for sending the works, admission to the final phase will be forfeited.

Il Dipartimento Audiovisivi DiAF assegnerà inoltre alcuni Premi Speciali alle opere che hanno ricevuto il maggior numero di segnalazioni da parte di tutte le giurie del 2° Circuito. Ogni Giuria dovrà segnalare la migliore opera per: Miglior Sceneggiatura, Miglior Fotografia, Miglior Montaggio, Miglior Attore, Miglior Regia, Miglior Colonna Sonora, Miglior Film Straniero. I premi non ritirati nella serata di premiazione, se digitali, saranno inviati nel corso dell’anno 2022 (I premi fisici saranno inviati solo con residenza o recapito postale in Italia).

The DiAF Audiovisual Department will also assign some Special Prizes to the works that have received the highest number of recommendations from all the Juries of the 2nd Circuit. Each Jury will have to report the best work for: Best Screenplay, Best Photography, Best Editing, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Soundtrack, Best Foreign Film. The prizes not collected in the awards ceremony, if digital, will be sent in the course of the year 2022 sent only with residence or postal address in Italy).

Le opere iscritte al concorso devono essere libere da ogni tipo di diritti, di proprietà artistiche o altro, detenuti da terzi, circa le immagini, i video e la colonna sonora; chi presenta le opere con l’iscrizione al concorso accetta integralmente il regolamento e solleva gli organizzatori del concorso da qualsiasi responsabilità in tal senso.

The works entered in the competition must be free from any kind of rights, artistic or other property, held by third parties, regarding images, videos and the soundtrack; whoever submits the works by registering for the competition fully accepts the regulations and releases the organizers of the competition from any responsibility in this regard.

---------------- Art. 12 - Privacy policy e consenso per la proiezione e lo streaming - Privacy policy and consent for screening and streaming.
Il Dipartimento Audiovisivi DiAF, organizzatore del 2° Circuito Nazionale Cortometraggi DiAF TIMELINE, tiene a precisare che tutti i cortometraggi presentati, quindi non solo quelli premiati, saranno catalogati nell’archivio della videoteca della FIAF, Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche, a disposizione di Enti, Associazioni e Scuole a scopo culturale, didattico e di promozione dell’arte visiva, senza scopo di lucro.
Con l’iscrizione al Circuito ogni singolo autore risponde del contenuto delle proprie opere, dichiarando di essere in possesso di tutti i diritti, ed autorizza l’organizzazione promotrice del 2° Circuito Nazionale Cortometraggi DiAF TIMELINE ad effettuare proiezioni delle opere presentate, alla partecipazione ed organizzazione di altri festival e concorsi, per fini culturali, didattici e di promozione dell’arte visiva, previa comunicazione agli autori interessati.
Con l’accettazione integrale del presente Regolamento l’autore autorizza la FIAF, Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche, ai sensi della legge 196/2003 e varianti, all’utilizzo dei dati personali per gli usi connessi ai concorsi ed alle manifestazioni collegate.

The DiAF Audiovisual Department, organizer of the 2nd National Circuit Short Films DiAF TIMELINE, wishes to specify that all the short films presented, therefore not only the awarded ones, will be cataloged in the archive of the FIAF video library, available to organizations, non-profit associations and schools for cultural, didactic and promotion of visual art.
By registering on the Circuit, each individual author is responsible for the content of their works, declaring to be in possession of all the rights, and authorizes the promoting organization of the 2nd DiAF TIMELINE National Short Films Circuit to screen the works presented, participate and organize other festivals and competitions, for cultural, didactic purposes and for the promotion of visual art, upon communication to the authors concerned.
With the full acceptance of these Regulations, the author authorizes FIAF, Italian Federation of Photographic Associations, pursuant to law 196/2003 and variations, to use personal data for uses related to competitions and related events.
