I’m B. Talekar, a storyteller at heart whose journey into writing has been shaped by resilience and imagination. Living with an incurable illness for years hasn’t stopped me — instead, it has fueled my determination to create stories that connect deeply and linger long after they’re told.
My literary journey began in 2016 with my debut Hindi novel The Dark Dekken – The Seven Shades of Dark (Part 1). Since then, I’ve authored three more novels — Alamana – The Secret of Indian Ocean, Dark in the City – The Seven Shades of Dark (Part 2), and My Dance Partner (2022). These works have earned 17+ national and international awards, while helping me discover my true strength as a storyteller: writing narratives that are layered, emotional, and cinematic in scope.
Today, I am channeling that passion into screenwriting, having trained at the Ramoji Academy of Movies (RAM), Ramoji Film City — one of India’s most prestigious film schools. This experience, combined with my Diploma in Screenwriting (Unlu/Mugafi), has shaped my ability to craft stories ready for film, television, and OTT platforms.
Beyond screenwriting, I founded Ocean Drop, a platform for emerging writers, and also lead my venture Pro Shopper. With a background in graphic design, I approach storytelling with a visual eye, imagining not just words, but frames, moods, and cinematic experiences.
I believe in stories that do more than entertain — they challenge, inspire, and stay with audiences.
Open to collaboration: Filmmakers, producers, and creators looking for original, emotionally resonant stories are always welcome to connect.
