I had a very good time at the Astoria NY FIlm Festival. It was held in a really great location, the Zukor Theater at Kauffman Astoria Studios. This theater is just rich in film history. I found Nina and everyone at the festival very welcoming and interested in my work. The oportunity to take a project I made to Astoria was a wonderful experience. I can't recommend it enough,

The Astoria Film Festival was an an absolute dream come true and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. First off, Nina and her incredible team have really fostered a strong community of filmmakers supporting filmmakers and that came through during the two day festival that featured such fantastic and diverse projects and insightful talk backs and panels with the filmmakers. It was also an honor to have our webseries "SHAW" screened at the legendary Zukor theater at Kaufman Astoria Studios.

Nina has extraordinary communication skills, always keeping us in the loop in terms of events for the festival and even after. She has remained in touch with us filmmakers, sharing our work, supporting our social medias and really being inclusive and making us feel apart of her community.

Through the incredible amount of networking opportunities the weekend of the festival, I have been able to work with a handful of other filmmakers I met that weekend on a variety of projects. This would not have happened without being a apart of the Astoria Film Festival and I am grateful to Nina and her entire team.

Lastly the projects screened over the course of that weekend were seriously some of the best films I have seen at an indie festival like this. The Astoria Film Festival is worth every penny for entry and I am so thankful that I got to be a small part of it!

❤️❤️❤️ I have no adequate words! Thank you Jason. So much. You’re amazing and I’m just grateful to know you. Everything you’ve said here is exactly why I began the festival - to foster community, to foster partnerships, to help filmmakers and build up future filmmakers- so it’s surreal and absolutely wonderful to hear that you see it that way. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️

  • I was not able to attend Astoria NYFF but they were very good at communicating and also help spread the word about my short film through there various social media channels.

It was an amazing experience at the Astoria Film Festival! Nina and her team put together a weekend filled with information, fun, love and opportunity with events like the young filmmakers panels, luncheons and meet ups with delicious sponsored food, after parties and the phenomenal selection of films. It was a privilege to screen among such great work. Nina is truly dedicated to uplifting her community with this festival from local businesses to the budding and emerging filmmakers. Thank you for selecting "Corey" to be a part of this movement. Looking forward to future festivals and events!
