Irasj Asanti is an award-winning film director. He was educated as an actor at the Nordic Theater School in Oslo. He is currently working as a director, a writer and an actor. He has starred in several Norwegian films. Asanti has written and directed several short films that have been shown at festivals and television around the world. In 2015, he directed the feature film "HØVDINGER" which was nominated for the “Kanonprisen” and shown in cinemas in 2017. His short film, "KNUS MEG" won Blikk's audience award in 2019. His latest short film "SAND" is competing for the golden chair 2021 / The Norwegian Short Film Festival and to the official selection at The Oscar qualifying Chicago International Children’s Film Festival 2021.
He is also currently working on an action / thriller feature film with development support from NFI.
