Arman Gholipour Dashtaki is an Iranian documentary filmmaker and a member of the Iranian Documentary Directors Association. He created his first short documentary in 2015, and since then, he has produced a total of 12 documentaries, which have received acclaim at numerous national and international festivals, including Best Documentary at the Tehran International Short Film Festival and Best Short International Film at the Iranian Documentary Film Festival (Cinéma Vérité).
Arman was born and raised in the Bakhtiari tribe in southwest Iran. With decades of experience living among the Bakhtiari people, he has a deep understanding of the sociological and psychological dynamics of this community and its environment. His work focuses primarily on themes of women and family, often shedding light on the complex cultural and social issues faced by his tribe.
