Arly Jover Comas left her home in Spain at age fourteen and arrived in New York to become a classical dancer. She trained at School of American Ballet and with Martha Graham in Manhattan.
At age eighteen she moved to Los Angeles and shortly became Mercury in the movie “Blade” with Wesley Snipes. She carried on in her career training more in her craft with Julie Ariola and Harry Mastrogeorge doing award winning independent films. Working along side Jeremy Renner.
Arly began working along side many talented people, such as Anthony Hopkins in a Barclays commercial, Michel Gondry, Tony Scott and even David Fincher on several occasions including,
“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” .
In 2005 she was the lead with Jean Reno in the film “Empire of the Wolves” and continued her career in Europe after giving birth to her daughter in France.
While raising her daughter in France, Arly continued with her craft into the European market. She would select certain roles based on her time away from family, and otherwise stay near home to raise her daughter. She still appeared in major French films like “Les Regrets”, “Haute Cuisine” and “L’exercice de L’etat” which won the FIPRESCI award at Cannes in 2011.
Over the following years Arly suffered from a personal loss in her family and needed to take some time off. Nevertheless, she took part in several award winning independent films and began writing, yet spent most of her time with family. In 2016, she was back on major sets, taking on new challenging roles.
In 2017, Arly has been recognized in two major films in Europe; “A Prominent Patient” and “Axolotl Overkill”. In both films Arly dominated the screen, as she was nominated for best supporting actress portraying very elegantly, the daring and strong Marsha Davenport in the WWII film
“A Prominent Patient” with Karel Roden from the Czech Republic.
In Germany, she has been highly acclaimed for her part in “Axolotl Overkill”, as she radiated the screen with her bold presence as a very intelligent, powerful stoic female figure.
In 2024 Arly will have the premier of the film "In the Lost Lands" based on a story by George R.R. Martin, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson with Milla Jovovich and Dave Bautista
