Established in 2019, the Arizona Short Film Festival brings high-quality independent short films from around the globe to the Grand Canyon State. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the Festival took place online for 2020, 2021 & 2022 editions but our aim has always been to bring people back to the cinemas.

We highlight new emerging talents and filmmakers and showcase the power of independent shorts. We are open to all film genres and we take pride in our screening programs that promote diversity and give voice to people of all backgrounds.

Share your creations with us and let’s cultivate independent cinema together.

HFP

The Arizona Short Film Festival is organised by HFP, a pioneer organisation that runs Film Festivals and other events showcasing and championing ideas of diversity. Through our global series of film Festivals that spread over 13 countries, we open the path to voices with a compelling story to share. Our main mission is to honour independent cinema and establish a network of artists eager to join forces and spread their work across all nations. HFP runs 25 film Festivals worldwide 🌡🌡🌡

The festival program will consist of international short films of different genres. All styles, genres and languages are welcome. Our team of judges, who come from filmmaking and academic backgrounds, will select the best films to screen for the audience.
We will award winners in categories such as:

Best Short Film
Best Documentary Short
Best Drama Short
Best Comedy Short
Best Experimental Short
Best Animated Short
Best Director
Best Scriptwriter
Best Student Short Film

The winners will be announced at the festival, after the screening, and online the next day. The evening will be closed with a networking party.

  • The screening had a perfect venue and a lot more people should have been in attendance for such a great lineup. And it was free! The team that put it together was very generous and did an incredible job. Projection was spot on.
