A graduate of the Asian Academy of Film and Television, India, Arin Paul embarked on his cinematic journey by assisting various filmmakers in Delhi and Kolkata. At a remarkably young age, he made his directorial debut with the Bengali feature film 10:10, which quickly became the talk of the town.
Arin has since established himself as an independent filmmaker, working across diverse formats, including web series, short films, documentaries, corporate films, commercials, and non-fiction television. His directorial expertise extends to projects for leading channels such as ZEE, Kolkata TV, Star Plus, and more.
His body of work has earned widespread recognition, particularly for his awareness films for the Kolkata Traffic Police, documentary projects for Anandabazar Group (ABP Digital), and his contributions to international initiatives like Handi-Care International (Canada). His impactful storytelling extends to Amar Seva Sangam, a collaboration that received appreciation during the International Conference on Early Intervention in Chennai (2020).
Arin’s accolades include the Rotary Youth Achiever of The Year (2008) award. His short film Aehsaas, focused on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, was awarded the Certificate of Excellence by the NFDC and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India (2017). Many of his films have been showcased at international film festivals worldwide.
In 2012, Arin founded Arin Paul Productions, a platform dedicated to creating independent, thought-provoking cinema. He continues to collaborate on projects that push creative boundaries while staying true to his vision of meaningful storytelling.
Most recently, his documentary Birds of Paradise ~ The Amar Seva Sangam Story won Best Documentary & Best Cinematography at the 11th International Documentary Film Festival, Noida (2023). The film further secured Best Director (Short Film) at the Film Fiesta National Awards 2025, Kolkata, adding another milestone to his illustrious journey.
