Ariel Nahón (Buenos Aires, 1981). She is a teacher, curator, and amateur filmmaker. She graduated from the Universidad del Cine, she also studied theater and dance. She works as a teacher in the undergraduate programs of Electronic Arts (UNTREF) and Film Direction (Universidad del Cine). Since 2012 she has been working on collective projects that seek to expand the concept of institution in the territory of the arts and audiovisual productions, from the design of exhibitions, curatorships and workshops. She is an active member of the research and production groups Colectivo Arkhé, Futuro Museo de Cine and Archivo de la Memoria Popular Villa 20; and the associations AREA (Association of Audiovisual Experimental Producers) and RAPA (Red Argentina de Preservadorxs Audiovisuales). She has made shorts, experimental videos, and performance lectures in which she explores the concepts of body, archive, memory, technique and territory, which were exhibited at national and international festivals. She is a researcher at Continente (UNTREF) and has worked at the Biennial of the Moving Image (BIM) since its first edition in 2012, performing research, programming and general production tasks. She has published texts on cinema, video and installations in magazines and books of the National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA), the Biennial of the Moving Image, Editorial Libraria, among others.
