As a film director working concomitantly with active involvement in the field of human and social sciences research, Arcade Assogba has been responsible for digital communication for various major cultural events in Benin (Quintessence - International Film Festival of Ouidah) and the Benin International Theater Festival - Fitheb). He’s been first assistant director on several feature shot in Benin and collaborated with renowned directors such as Sylvestre Amoussou, Jean Odoutan (Benin), Pablo César (Argentina) and Heidi Specogna (Germany) and Pascale Obolo (Cameroon) in documentary.
He himself directed shorts fiction and documentary films.
Arcade Assogba studied cinema at the Institut Cinématographique de Ouidah - ICO (2006 - 2009). He also holds a master's degree in human and social sciences from Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne University after after a master's degree in Law from the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin.
He runs film workshops and film clubs both in Benin and abroad. He is also passionate about new media and writing.
