Thamp Film Society (TFS ) is an organisation, that have to take a look at the creative industries' potential for cultural, creative, growth, and sustainability.

We discuss strategies for fostering the national creative industry's steady expansion.

Creative industries, especially film industry, in developing countries are definitely fostering knowledge through experience and enjoyment.

Collaboration and dialogue between different film makers, creative entrepreneurs, and other experts will be enhanced.

We develop and circulate discussion papers, reports, articles and evaluation on the creative industries. Promote multi-stakeholder approaches to achieve universal film access.

One Lakh Indian Rupee cash award with Momento and Certificate for Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Screen Play , Best Cinematography, From General Category.

Fifty Thousand Indian Rupee cash award with Momento and Certificate for Best Filim, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Screen Play , Best Cinematography, From Campus Entries.

An Award of Rupees One Lakh INR with Momento and Certificate will be provided to the Best Theme Based Filim, irrespective of Category.

It is open to the General Council to revise the amount of the Cash Award/Prize Money

Name: Aravindam National Short Film Festival (ANSFF) of Kottayam, Kerala, India by Thamp Film Society, Kottayam

General Guidelines for the Festival are the following:

1. Festival Dates: March 14, 15, 16 of 2025

2. Films Completed between 1st January of 2024 and 30th December 2024 whether
released or not can be sent.

3. Entry Submission period: From November 1st, 2024 to January 21st, 2025

4. Publishing of List of Selected Films for exhibition: 1st March 2025
(Please note that only downloadable online submissions will be accepted as preview material. )

5. You may remit the submission fee for General Category, Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) online via FilmFreeway (https://filmfreeway.com/) platform.

6. National Competition Section under the following categories: Competition Short Fiction Film (30 minutes and below) which are having a Registration Fee of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) for each film.

7. Campus Films competition for films produced by students from Educational Institutions including College Level, Higher Secondary level based and School Level, in India which are having no registration fee:

8. All films participating through campus film section, must have to produce a certificate from the head of the institution with their letter head and official seal.

Rules and Regulations for Competition Section:

1. Only the films entered in the competition categories of either general or campus section, through filimfreeway (https://filmfreeway.com/) platform will be considered for competition.

2. Only films produced or coproduced in Indian Languages or in English are eligible for the National level competition.

3. All films participating in the festival have to submit screenplay of the short film if any, with a signed affidavit stating that the product original work of the author, do not violate any copyrights, and the date of completion of film which should be between the period commencing from 1st of January of the 2024 to 30th of December 2024 (both days inclusive). The Festival absolves itself of any liability, in case of dispute regarding the completion date of the entry though these dates are irrelevant in case of films not released on any Platform till date. Those who do not submit screenplays also should comply with the affidavit abovementioned.

4. Campus Films have to be made by students who are/were registered students at the time of the production of the film, in an educational institute from school level located within India.

5. Only Five films will be allowed from one institution. Entries should be submitted with the consent letter of the institution.

6. Once a film confirms selection it cannot be withdrawn from the programme.

General Rules for Film Submission

A) A director or production company may enter more than one film, provided a separate entry form and fee accompanies each film. The entry form must clearly mark the section entered for.

1. All submitted films must carry English subtitles.

2. Films screened once before the Selection Committee CANNOT be re- entered.

3. Films screened once before the Selection Committee CANNOT be re- entered in a
modified version.

4. No works-in-progress shall be considered.

B). Only selected films will be intimated by email. No letters of non-acceptance will be
sent. All lists will be available on the Website page of ‘Thamp Film Society’ by 1st
March 2025.

C). The Festival assumes the submitter has accepted the terms of the festival mentioned
here and is authorised to submit the film and the Festival indemnifies itself against
any legal or other action in this matter. They are also presumed to agree that decision
of screening committee and judging panel shall be final and unappealable.

D). The Director of the festival has the power to alter any of the above- mentioned
rules.

E). Thamp Film Society reserves all rights to decide venue and place of exhibiting
selected films during film fest.

F). Rules governing selection committee:

1.The Executive Board of the Aravindam Film Festival Committee will appoint the
Selection committee consisting of eminent persons including filmmakers and others
from different fields. It is open to the Executive Board of Aravindam Film Festival
Committee to decide the number of persons in such committee, and also to include in
the Selection Committees such of the members who are associated with the film
industry besides film critics and film activists.

2. Selection committee members should submit a signed affidavit in the prescribed
format stating non- involvement of themselves or any close relative in the entries.

3. The selection committee has the right to screen films in sections other than the one
chosen by the applicant.

4. The Selection Committee has the discretion to skip the viewing of any
portion/portions of the film submitted for selection when the majority of the
members of the selection committee approves in writing such skipping.

G). The festival will not provide feedback on the submitted films or specific reasons for
the rejection of any film.

H). The Director of the festival has the power to include any film at his discretion.

I). Submission Deadline

The start date of submission of entries will be on 1st day of November 2024. The
deadline for receiving the completed entry , paying fees and submitting the
preview material is 30th of December 2024, or on such other deadline specifically
prescribed by the Executive Board of the Aravindam Film Festival Committee.

J). Submission Formats

1. Only downloadable online screeners will be accepted as preview material.

2. On intimation of selection, projection masters must be available at the festival
office by March 14th, 2025

3. Films must be available for festival screening on one of the following formats: 2K
DCP/High Quality Drive/High resolution downloadable link if demanded by
Aravindam National Short Film Festival Committee.
4. A Short discription on film with names of crew, director etc with an idea about
theme, if any, can be given along with submission, in order to help jurists to
assess it conveniently.

K). Entry Fee
There will be a submission fee for films entered in the competition section.
For general category Rs. 1,000/- each.
For campus category no prescribed fee.

L). Publicity
If selected for the festival the entrant must undertake to provide publicity materials,
stills, clippings etc for the use of the festival.
