In 2005 Arash Tagarian got his Bachelor degree in Fine Arts at AKV|St.Joost.
His graduation film AUTUMN LEAVES premiered at The Dutch Film Festival that same year and was part of the IFFR Hotspots 2006, The International Art Film Festival and was shown on VPRO Dutch Television. His first short film PRIVACY won first prize at The AMNESTY International Film Festival in Amsterdam. Arash was supported by The Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture (FONDS BKVB now MONDRIAAN-FUND) to continue his work and made ‘SOY’ which premiered at the International Film Festival Breda 2010 and was part of The Short Film Corner Cannes 2010. After that he made the short films A BRUSH WITH DEATH which was pasrt of a 48 HOUR FILM FESTIVAL also the film A SHORT TOUR & FAREWELL that was shown on different filmfestivals in the world. He also works in commercials and occasionally gives film workshops to youth in Rotterdam.
