Arad Navizi (born in Tehran, Iran May 12, 2003) is a 20-year-old Iranian filmmaker and actor. He held a diploma in drama major from the Young Cinematographers Association art school in 2021. Navizi has started playing in performances and short films since 2018 and has started filmmaking on self-taught in 2020. So far, he has made 3 short films.
Since 2018 and for two years, he worked as the international relations representative of an Iranian acting academy, during which he presented a number of theater productions of the mentioned academy at various international events. He participated in Shakespeare's Globe conference which was held in July 2019 in Beijing, China, and earned the organization certificate.
His first short film, "Suspense" (Original title: "Taleegh" / «تَعلیق») (2020), was presented at Assisi International Contemporary Art Exhibition. "The Thing" (Original title: "Shey" / «شِیء») is his second short film which has been made in 2022, that has several international achievements, including winning the best student film award at the Garden State Film Festival. Navizi’s latest film, “Deliverance” (Original title: “Ras’t” / «رَست»), produced in 2023, was made one-man-filmmaking-oriented.
Since 2021, he has started studying for a bachelor's in cinema at one of the BAFTA-qualifying universities, Tehran University of Art.
