Born and raised in the Netherlands, Anne moved to Los Angeles to attend USC’s MFA Film & TV Production program. She specializes in writing, directing and virtual production and strives to tell stories with high emotional stakes and societal impact. She is a recipient of the merit-based Jack Nicholson directing scholarship at USC and the Fox Fellowship for the use of VFX in her virtual thesis film Fuel Up.
Her proof of concept film “Out of the smoke”, a fantasy short film about a shapeshifting dragon, screened at American Pavillion’s NextGen Showcase at Cannes film festival and LA Shorts International Film Festival. It was also a semi-finalist in the Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival (2025) and made it into the HollyShorts Monthly Screening Series (2025). She has written the first draft of the feature screenplay for this story, which was a finalist at the Cordillera International Film Festival's PitchFest! (2025).
Anne’s virtual thesis film “Fuel Up” is about a female race car driver overcoming her fear of racing after her boyfriend died in a race car crash. It was shot on the LED volume stage at USC, as well as SV Studios in Los Angeles. Part of the film's funding was raised through a viral TikTok video, which secured Anne a brand sponsorship deal. Anne worked with a real racing team, Forte Racing, who provided the Lamborghini race car for the shoot, as well as video footage they shot at real races. Their engineer helped the lead actress Casey Burke operate the car like a real athlete.
