Anna White has exhibited her paintings in a range of spaces over many years. Her work has been included as a finalist in the Arthur Guy Memorial Painting Prize at the Bendigo Art Gallery (2011 and 2009), The Stan and Maureen Duke Art Prize, Gold Coast Art Gallery (2009) and The Alice Prize, Araluen Centre in Alice Springs (2008). In 2008, she completed a Master of Fine Art by research for which she received a Vice Chancellor's Award for Excellence in a Master’s Thesis. In 2015, she completed a PhD in Fine Art at Monash University in which she contextualised her abstract painting in relation to the poetic, the provisional, the performative and gesture. 
In 2016, she reconnected with a long-held interest in dance and movement. Since then she has performed in Huru Hara, Asia Topa, 2020, Simulcast, Dance Massive (2019), Impro Exchange, Sydney (2019), ButohOUT! (2018), MAPFest, Melaka (2017 & 2018), The Australian Dance Awards, (2017) and For the Time Being, M47 Festival, Melbourne (2016).
At the same time, she has become increasingly interested in photography, capturing images of objects, people, buildings or details seen by chance. Anna has exhibited photographs at the Alderman Upstairs, the Sofitel Hotel and Bargoonga Nganjin North Fitzroy Library, 
All of these interests have coalesced in her recent video work In my father’s garden which she directed, performed in and edited. This work was supported by a City of Melbourne COVID-19 Arts Grant.
