Anna Schatte is an Austin-based writer, director, and actor creating character-driven comedy.

Her short comedy Man-Child premiered at Austin’s Hyperreal Film Club and was an official selection of the ATX Short Film Showcase.

Her debut feature screenplay Pleasant Child was a Silver Winner at the 2025 Southwest Film Festival Screenplay Competition and a finalist at Austin Film Festival, The Script Lab, and ScreenCraft Film Fund.

Her work includes original short films, pop culture parodies, and branded content produced with Austin production company Various Characters, and has been featured by TIME, People, and Alamo Drafthouse’s cult-favorite pre-shows.

She is currently developing her debut feature, Not About Him, a female-led indie comedy set in Austin.
