1992, January 16. He was born at Malda, a small home town in West Bengal, India. He completed his master degree from Visva-Bharati university established by Rabindranath Tagore. He directed his first short film when he was perusing his academic degree. The Separation was his first film based on the history of partition on 1947. Then he made The Freedom, Fetish, The Girlhood, Before The Dawn...Night, The Pure Soul and last but not the least Letter to The Lime Light.
