Anita Waggoner is an award-winning writer, executive producer, and founder of Freedom Movie Production LLC. A lifelong champion of the Western way of life, she draws inspiration from her years living on a 3,400-acre Oklahoma ranch, where she raised rodeo bulls and hosted guests beneath the red-dirt skies near Freedom, Oklahoma.

Now based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Anita has transformed those real-life experiences into a series of acclaimed books and screenplays that celebrate faith, resilience, and the spirit of the modern-day cowboy. Her signature project—Freedom: A Modern-Day Western—has earned multiple international screenplay awards and is currently being developed for film in collaboration with Oklahoma-based talent and Angel Studios.

Through her novels ( Freedom, Dakota Wells, The Gambler, The Ranch at Huckleberry Ridge, and The Way of the West) and her cinematic storytelling, Anita Waggoner continues to honor the grit, courage, and moral backbone that define the American West.
