Mickaël Farina: Director Biography
Born in France into a deeply artistic family, Mickaël Farina’s creative roots heavily influence his work as an emerging voice in AI cinema. Growing up, he was surrounded by rhythm and performance; his grandmother was a pianist with perfect pitch, and his mother was a celebrated modern jazz dancer who won silver and bronze medals at the French National Championships. Immersed in his mother’s world of choreography, costume design, and music mixing, Farina developed a sharp eye for visual storytelling, picking up photography at a young age with a lifelong dream of one day directing films.
While his professional path initially led to a successful 18-year career in the global luxury hospitality industry, his passion for cinema never faded. Today, generative AI has provided the ultimate canvas, allowing Farina to finally realize his directorial vision. As a Chief AI Architect, EITCA/AI certified technologist, and the founder of AVA Digital L.L.C., he bridges advanced technology—such as the Google Gemini and Veo ecosystems—with traditional creative direction.
Farina’s signature approach focuses on humanizing technology and maintaining strict visual and emotional continuity in generative video. Through his work, Farina challenges the fear of technological obsolescence, delivering stories where technology ultimately serves the human soul.
Farina is currently developing his most ambitious project: Henri, a grand-format, 90-minute computer-animated feature. Designed as a heartfelt adventure for all ages, the story follows a young boy’s epic journey between Vietnam and France in 1945. Inspired by the life of Farina’s adopted great-grandfather, Henri blends historical wonder with a kid-friendly tale about family, courage, and finding home.
