Angelos Tsaousis is a producer, director and documentary filmmaker working both on commissioned and personal projects since 2006. In 2007 he founded Filmografik_DocRepublic, an independent film production company that specializes in documentary filmmaking and immersive media. With a truthful passion for visualising impactful stories, Angelos aims through his films to raise awareness and promote a dialogue on important social issues. His debut feature documentary “The New Plastic Road” filmed in the remote mountainous area of Pamir, acquired by the international sales agency SYNDICADO FS, was award nominated at CLOSE UP: Edinburgh DOCUFEST 2020 and was screened at HOTDOCS 2021, Thessaloniki Documentary Festival 2020, Sevastopol International Documentary Festival in Crimea and more. He has been a FULBRIGHT and a San Francisco Film Society fellow, has participated at numerous workshops - UNIONDOCS (New York) & EURODOC (Europe), and residencies - Santa Fe Art Institute. A visionary storyteller whose look at impactful stories is both intimate and inspiring. “Far.Go.Bots” is his second feature documentary film, a co-production with ERT (Greek Public Broadcaster) and the Greek Film Centre, that will premiere as an official selection at the main program of Thessaloniki Documentary Festival 2022.
