Angela Heath is an explorer at heart. She loves to investigate and discover new things great and small. This inquisitive spirit led her into the broadcast field.
She began her career as an intern with USA Today Newspaper and the MacNeil/Lehrer Newshour. From there she continued her journey with stints at Eye to Eye with Connie Chung, ABC News, CBS News, Benin Films, and 10 years with Nightly Business Report on Public Television. While at PBS, she was member of the press corp for The White House, Treasury Department, and Senate Radio and TV galleries.
Ms. Heath took a break from the world of television so she could pursue her interest in film and video. She has completed video profiles of Dorothy Height, Ann Hand, Andre Leon Talley, Stephen Burrows, and others.
She is currently working on a documentary film series called “Women of Faith: Coping with Trauma.” Ms. Heath is interested in faith and social issues concerning women and girls. This interest stems in part from her role as a Deaconess at Second Baptist Church and her having attended an all women’s high school and college.
Ms. Heath attended Mount Holyoke College, Spelman College, and Pace University, where she obtained her B.A. degree in Literature and Communications. She also graduated from American University where she obtained her Master’s degree in Producing for Film and Video.
Ms. Heath is married to Paul Heath. The couple currently owns and operates Physical and Sports Rehab, a physical therapy and sports medicine clinic in Upper Marlboro, where they live. They have three children, Jeremiah, Jordan and Joy.
