Born in Launceston, Tasmania, and raised in the coastal wilds of Papua New Guinea, Drew Kelly grew up surrounded by the sea, jungles, and wildlife encounters that shaped his earliest memories. His fascination with imagery was sparked by his father, an adventurous skier and photographer who captured the dramatic landscapes of New Zealand. That legacy of visual storytelling became the foundation for Drew’s lifelong creative path. Always drawing, painting, and crafting images with intent, Drew earned a studentship to the Tasmanian School of Art, where he discovered the technical and expressive power of photography and film. After 5 years of sharing spectacular wildlife vision on YouTube, he felt an obligation to bring just one of those special stories to a broader Cinema audience. Independently on just a laptop he has brought to life a field of contemplation played out by one of the rarest animals in the world. Already working on the next feature, he is looking for support and sponsorship to continue these revelations.
