I'm from the suburbs of Chicago and have been obsessed with movies since a young age. I got into horror at a young age after going with some family to a haunted graveyard in the middle of cornfields around midnight. After that, I read every horror book I could get my hands on.
Growing up, I never cared much for school and would rather be reading or watching motion pictures. I had trouble speaking as a child as in there were multiple sounds I had trouble making. I got stuck seeing a speech therapist at the school. During that time, I got bullied a lot. Over time, it got much better and very rarely do I have trouble speaking today.
In high school, I was a lazy student despite being in all honors classes. I slept in class, didn't study, and made jokes in class. During the second half of high school I ditched semi regularly. My free time was spent making gory and darkly comedic short films with friends where I learned the bare bones of film making. I was obsessed with gritty grindhouse films and classic films from Kurosawa to Lynch to De Palma. I love the intersection between crass and classy material.
I attended community college for a few years while working almost full time in retail. One year, I worked at a haunted House which was great fun. I graduated from Columbia College Chicago in the winter of 2019 where I took multiple directing classes and did sound on a lot of student films.
