Andrea Oliva Marcial graduated with honors from the University Center for Cinematographic Studies (CUEC-UNAM now ENAC) specialized in documentary filmmaking. She has developed professionally steadily since 2009 in television series, feature films and film teaching. Her documentary debut film Los Invisibles is in post-production that in 2020 obtained the support for the production of the last FOPROCINE call, in addition to having the support of Plataforma Mx, Docs lab and the International Film Festival of Panama. She has directed 6 short films, including Didáctica sensorial (2020) beneficiary of the PECDA Estado de México and La Música Silenciada (2013) documentary nominated for the Ariel award in 2014 and winner of the award for Best Mexican Documentary at the 9th Monterrey International Film Festival (2013).
