Anastasia is an aspiring filmmaker and was recently awarded the Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, Miami Beach. She has two degrees in Acting for film and has substantial experience in film and video production, including every phase of development. She is trained and adept with numerous related technical areas, including expertise with cameras, lighting, editing equipment, sound and color correction, audio/visual and on-set devices and hardware, for both in-studio and on remote location projects.
After being involved with the Russian hit Heat (one of the most expensive Russian films in 2006), directed by former husband and filmmaker Rezo Gigineishvili, Anastasia decided to further her acting career and gained a degree at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in 2011.
SHE AND EX-HUSBAND REZO GIGINEISHVILI HAVE ONE DAUGHTER, MARIIA GIGINEISHVILI, BORN ON JUNE 8, 2006. ANASTASIA WAS ONLY 18 AT THE TIME.
In 2012, Anastasia returned to a previous singing career and co-produced her first solo album and produced several music videos including "Ya ne ya", directed by Russia's famous Fedor Bondarchuk. Formerly, she was a member of the Russian hip-hop group Banda. The group disbanded after the tragic death of band member Ratmir Shishkov, killed in a car crash in March 2007.
In 2014, still hungry to gain more knowledge, she moved to the US to further her studies at the New York Film Academy, where she met her current husband Miguel Lara.
In 2017, she changed direction from Acting and completed a Master's degree in filmmaking. While being a student she has worked on numerous projects as a Production Assistant, including short films "Shotgun" directed by Ramiro Hernandez and "Feed my eyes" by Eric Newcombe, Coca-cola commercials directed by Nicolai Fulglsig, "SunnyD" commercial for the Shoot Collective production, music video production "Dure Dure" production by Full Lock Media, "Fania Records" commercial directed by Carlos Escobar and more. Her efforts have taken her from PA to Production Coordinator and Assistant Producer on projects like "The Fania Collective" Round Table Interviews and the commercial for the Pincho Factory "We are not a Factory."
Her experience with production administration, finance, talent management, and business practices, including contracts and permits, has given her the opportunity to manage and direct fellow postgraduate students, and she has since gone on to launch her own production company, Anakofilm Corp.
Anastasia continues to work with leading Russian music labels and has debuted several of her own short films including, "The Choice," "The Mighty Arm," and "Late Again Ana," which she wrote, produced, directed, edited and acted. "Late Again Ana" has won several awards, including "Best Student Film of the Year" (Los Angeles Film Festival), "Best Narrative Short" (Festigious Film Festival), and "Best Woman Filmmaker" at the Vegas Movie Awards. Recent projects include short films "Watch Me," which is currently in post-production and "Another," which will start preproduction in summer 2020.
In a relatively accelerated career to date, Anastasia has interacted with industry leaders and professionals, leading actors and directors in music, television, and film.

She believes that film is an intensely personal form of art and that it's always only about telling a story, even when you are filming about a bottle of water! Her work continues to receive industry kudos and is a delight for the people who consume it.
