Producer and co-founder of Abo.
Amber Pérez is a Cuban-American producer that champions Southern independent artists. She is a 2022 NALIP ECCII Scholar Recipient who has worked in the literary agency space, assisting with film and television projects that have been featured by A24, Hulu, Plan B, and more. Pérez was part of the creation of the 2024 White Elephant Group Feature Film Lab, a feature film development and pitch lab for South-Florida filmmakers, and is currently serving on the selection committee. Witnessing the growth of independent voices, she has fallen in love with developing artists. This led her to co-found Abo, a Southern-based collective dedicated to supporting southern independent filmmakers from underrepresented communities who tell stories centering around humanity.
