We were honored to have our student film selected for the festival. It was a pleasure communicating with the Amacort team.

  • This is a great short film festival. A broad mix of local (regional), Italian and intentional films. And this year featured a very Impressive and diverse line up of short films from all around the world. I was very lucky to attend, coming all the way from Australia with my film participating in the "Amarcort" section of the festival (international short films) Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the charming and captivating city of Rimini. The Festival organisers and staff - Simona, Roberto and Alessandro to name a few, were incredible hospitable and helpful. The venues are great and there's a number of very informative industry-related, and filmmaker focused talks and Q&A's held over the course of the festival. Being held in Federico Fellini's hometown his magical presence pervades throughout - right down to the actual awards! And this year, the festival included a special night, screening a restored version Fellini's "Roma" with the US-actor Peter Gonzales-Falcon in attendance who played the young Fellini in the film. Naturally this all added to creating a celebratory cinematic atmosphere. And on a side note, experienced some of the best pasta dishes I've ever tasted, made in the traditional regional Emilia-Romagna style at "Osteria de Borg" (thanks Roberto for the recommendation!!) I recommend all filmmakers to submit to this festival - you won't be disappointed.

  • We were honored to be an official selection - there were so many really well done music videos - and so, that made winning in the 'Cantarel' (music video category) that much more wonderful!
We regret we weren't able to attend-communication was excellent throughout the festival, and we enjoyed watching the awards ceremony via Facebook! Many thanks to the kind folks at Amarcort!

In the hometown of Felini you can expect nothing less than a great cinefile experience. The staff was just wonderful, the public watched the films like they were glued to the screen and the projection was technically superb. The networking also made way for some valuable relationships with not only filmmakers, but also distributors, producers, etc. wich makes it a must for filmmakers. Go check it out!
