Alyssa Lee Standen is an American director based in Cleveland, OH. She did internship work through the feature-film program at KSU and was the President of their student production company. After graduation she worked in the production office for films like Queen + Slim, White Noise, Shooting Stars, and Blade.

Her senior project film Forgive Me (2019) won several awards at festivals across the country including a BEA Award of Excellence, Best Ohio Film nomination at Nightmare Film Fest, and a distribution deal with horror news site Bloody Disgusting as part of their World of Death: Bloody Bites short film program.

Through her films, Alyssa focuses her stories around personal experiences and struggles with drama, horror, and experimental storytelling. She is currently developing both a body horror feature and drama feature Hicktown Paradise, which Trashy is based off of.
