My career with The Sports Network as a Sport Camera Person was side lined by a near fatal car accident with a Drunk Driver. It took me five years to regain the ability to walk and talk properly. 20 years later and a new titanium knee, I picked up a Broadcast Camera, again. Afghanistan created for me, the opportunity to regain my passion of working in the field, with my Sony EX3, and reboot my life as a Documentarian, and Combat Camera Person. Digital technology, provided me with a smaller more stream lined Camera, and Wireless technology, enabled a seamless approach, for a one person shooter. Outside the Wire in 2010, for W Network, Canadian TV, was the first time I Documented in a War Zone. The success of that Documentary throughout Canada, and as a TV Special for W Network enabled me to restart my career, as a Documentarian. My work in War Zones, is Indie, and without financial support. Broadcast sales, and USB purchases, enabled my work in Afghanistan to continue over 10 years. My passion is to create inspiring, and empowering stories of people, and the impact of their bravery, on the world. The more polarized the world becomes, the more stories we need of positive change, and the people who are willing to risk it all, to platform stories of humanity. The 2025 release of Hunger Winter '45, features Child Witness stories, ww2 Veteran moments, archival footage, and more, chronicling the darkest days of WW2 Netherlands during German Occupation and the starvation that killed over 20,000 people. This is the story of hope, compassion, humanitarian aid, and Canada as Liberators. 80 years later Canada and the Netherlands, share a special friendship due to Canada's role in providing Aid, and Nation building post WW2.
