Alice e le altre Film Festival was born in 2014, focusing on cinema made by women. The goal of the Festival is to elevate cinema made by woman from the marginal position it had back in those days, and leading it where it belongs. Nowadays the percentage of female writers is 12%, producers is 22% and female directors only 7.5%.

To be considered, films must be directed by, written by or produced by women.

-All entries must be directed by, written by, or produced by women
-Eligible Short film entries must not exceed 20 minutes in total running time to include opening and end title/credit sequences.
-All genres are welcome (narrative, animated, experimental, documentary or music video).
-Films must have been completed after January 2018
-Films must have English or Italian subtitles
-By submitting to the festival you confirm that you own the rights of the film, including the rights to the music in the film

-If your film is selected, you agree to allow your film to be screened at Alice e le altre Film Festival and other associated promotional events linked to the Festival. For the avoidance of doubt the location and timing of any screenings of the film shall be the sole decision of the organizers of the Film Festival.
JUDGING
Entries will be judged based on the following criteria: relevance of subject matter, storytelling and technical aspects of filmmaking.
The winning films will be selected by a panel of expert judges involved in film, women’s rights, and/or issues relating to culture and women’s rights.
