:Jhon Alexander Arrospide Linares is a Peruvian filmmaker and Television Producer with more than two decades of experience in photography and audiovisual content. A graduate of the Charles Chaplin Film Institute in Lima, Peru, he has develop his career across several countries, including Peru, the United States, and Indonesia. His body of work ranges from short films and documentaries to commercials and cross-cultural creative projects. Beyond his professional practice, he has also taught film narrative, advertising photography, and editing techniques, making him both an accomplished artist and an educator in the field of visual storytelling.
As an independent filmmaker, Alexander has received international recognition for his work. One of his most notable achievements is the short film “JEPANG”, which won the Bronze Award at the SmallRig Awards in Shenzhen, China (2025) as well it was awarded Best Short Film at the Festival del Corto Peruano in Lima, Peru (2024) and got the Jury Prize 2025 in The IADA Ecos en Corto International Film Festival in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. His films are distinguished by their poetic visual language and their ability to explore the relationship between people, culture, and space. Currently based in Surabaya, Indonesia, Alexander continues to create through film, photography, and photo books that reflect everyday life from a cross-cultural perspective.
