CON DISPIACERE COMUNICHIAMO CHE LA 1^ EDIZIONE DELL’AGNONE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL SARÀ POSTICIPATA AD OTTOBRE 2021. INSIEME AL DIRETTORE ARTISTICO, E DOPO UNA LUNGA RIFLESSIONE, ABBIAMO DECISO DI RIMANDARE DI UN ANNO IL FESTIVAL, AL FINE DI POTER RISPETTARE IL CORPOSO PROGRAMMA GRAVEMENTE COMPROMESSO DALL’EMERGENZA INTERNAZIONALE DEL COVID-19. RINGRAZIAMO I TANTI REGISTI CHE HANNO GIÀ INVIATO I LORO FILM.

La 1^ edizione dell’Agnone International Film Festival si terrà nella cittadina di Agnone (IS), Italia, presso il Cinema-Teatro Italo Argentino e presso i locali di Palazzo San Francesco e/o presso altre strutture dal giorno 11 al giorno 14 novembre 2020.

Il Festival in oggetto (di seguito “Agnone IFF”), di tipo competitivo e formativo, è organizzato dall’Associazione Culturale Moscacieca in compartecipazione con “Moscacieca S.r.l.s.” e “Iridi Digitali S.r.l.s.” (il tutto definito di seguito come L’organizzazione), con il patrocinio del Comune di Agnone (IS) e con il patrocinio-collaborazione del Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia di Roma, della Scuola Nazionale Di Cinema, del CSC LAB (Centro Sperimentale Cinematografia LAB).

Aggiornamenti su eventuali ulteriori collaborazioni e/o patrocini potranno essere consultati sul nostro sito.

Tutti i film pervenuti e rispettanti i requisiti di ammissibilità, saranno valutati e giudicati da una giuria selezionata: una selezione dei film ritenuti meritevoli sarà proiettata durante le giornate di programmazione del festival.

DUE TO THE STILL ONGOING PANDEMIC OF COVID-19, WE ARE SORRY TO INFORM YOU THAT, AFTER A DEEP ASSESSMENT WITH THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR , WE ARE OBLIGED TO POSPONE THE FIRST EDITION OF THE AGNONE FILM FESTIVAL TO OCTOBER 2021. THIS DECISION IS ALSO BASED OF THE NEED TO RESPECT THE AMBITIOUS PROGRAM OF EVENTS. FOR NOW, WE THANK ALL THE DIRECTORS WHO HAVE SENT THEIR MOVIES TO THE FESTIVAL AND WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO START AGAIN THE PREPARATION FOR NEXT YEAR.

The 1st edition of the Agnone International Film Festival will take place in the city of Agnone (IS), Italy, from the 11th to the 14th of November 2020, at the Cinema-Theatre Italo Argentino, as well as in various premises of Palazzo San Francesco and/or in other structures.

The festival in question (“Agnone IFF”), is accredited in the competitive and educational category, organized by the Moscacieca Cultural Association in cooperation with “Moscacieca S.r.l.s.” and “Iridi Digital S.r.l.s.” (hereinafter referred to as the organization), under the patronage of the City of Agnone (IS) and with the sponsorship and collaboration of the Centre for Experimental Cinematography of Rome, the National School of Cinema and the Centre for Experimental Cinematography LAB.

Updates on any further collaboration and/or sponsorship can be found on our website.

All films received and meeting the eligibility requirements, will be evaluated and judged by a selected jury: a selection of films deemed worthy will be screened during the programmed days of the festival.

Awards & Prizes

L’ Agnone IFF prevede sei sezioni:

1. rossa: cortometraggi nazionali (prodotti e realizzati in Italia);
2. arancione: cortometraggi internazionali (provenienti da tutto il mondo);
3. verde: documentari (provenienti da tutto il mondo);
4. giallo: videoclip (provenienti da tutto il mondo);
5. magenta: cortometraggi d’animazione (provenienti da tutto il mondo);
6. azzurro: progetti realizzati da Istituti scolastici (provenienti da tutto il mondo) rientranti in una della sopraelencate - sezioni (da 1 a 5).

I premi sono, per ogni categoria, così ripartiti:
• miglior cortometraggio nazionale: $ 500,00;
• miglior cortometraggio internazionale: $ 700,00;
• miglior documentario: $ 700,00;
• miglior videoclip: $ 500,00;
• miglior cortometraggio di animazione: $ 700,00;
• miglior progetto realizzato da Istituto scolastico: partecipazione formativa presso enti/istituti operanti nel settore cinematografico.

Durante la giornata conclusiva del festival, tra i 6 vincitori delle 6 categorie, sarà altresì eletto esclusivamente dalla giuria selezionata il vincitore assoluto del Festival al quale saranno consegnati un ulteriore premio in denaro di $ 500,00 e il trofeo dell’Agnone IFF, ovvero una scultura realizzata all’uopo dalla famosa Pontificia Fonderia Marinelli di Agnone.

A partire dal gennaio 2020 e a seguire nei mesi successivi, potranno essere assegnati degli allori mensili alle seguenti categorie: (migliore regia, migliore fotografia, migliore sceneggiatura, migliore interpretazione, migliore colonna sonora, miglior montaggio, originalità ed altri aspetti che possano essere ritenuti meritevoli di riconoscimento da parte dei valutatori). L’assegnazione degli allori non è da intendersi necessariamente quale selezione del film alle fasi finali e/o alla programmazione dello stesso durante i giorni del festival.

Per ogni categoria è previsto solo un vincitore; i restanti finalisti saranno considerati ex equo.
Il giudizio della giuria è insindacabile.

Tra tutti i corti partecipanti, l’organizzazione può assegnare delle menzioni speciali.

The Agnone IFF is divided into six sections:

1. Red: national short films competition (produced and created in Italy);
2. Orange: international short films competition (from all over the world);
3. Green: documentaries (from all over the world);
4. Yellow: video clip competition (from all over the world);
5. Magenta: short animated films competition (from all over the world);
6. Light blue: projects carried out by schools falling within one of the above-listed sections from 1 to 5 (from all over the world).

The awards for each category are allocated as follows:
• Best national short film: $ 500,00;
• Best international short film: $ 700,00;
• Best documentary: $ 700,00
• Best video clip: $ 500,00;
• Best short animated film: $ 700,00;
• Best project carried out by a school: participation in training activities in entities and institutions operating in the cinema sector.

Furthermore, on the closing day of the Festival, an overall winner will be chosen, among the six winners of the six sections, exclusively by the selected jury, and will be awarded an additional cash prize of $ 500,00 and a trophy of the Agnone IFF, which is a sculpture produced by the famous Pontificia Marinelli Bell Foundry.

As of January 2020, and thereafter, monthly laurels may be awarded to the following categories: (best director, best photography, best screenplay, best interpretation, best soundtrack, best editing, originality and other aspects which may be considered worthy of recognition by the evaluators). The assignment of laurels is not necessarily to be understood as a selection of the film in the final stages and/or the programming during the final days of the festival.

There is only one winner for each category; the remaining finalists will be considered ex quo. The jury’s judgement is unquestionable.

The organization can award special mentions to the participants of the short film competition.

Rules & Terms

Condizioni di partecipazione
Posso partecipare al concorso i corti prodotti a partire dal 1 gennaio 2015.
La durata dei corti non deve superare i 20 minuti, inclusi i titoli di coda.
I formati di proiezione accettati sono: MP4 (preferito); MOV.
I corti in una lingua diversa dall’italiano devono essere sottotitolati in italiano o in inglese, ad eccezione della sezione 4 “giallo” relativa ai videoclip per i quali non è richiesta sottotitolazione.
Saranno esclusi dal Festival progetti non rientranti in una delle categorie di cui al punto precedente o che non siano sottotitolati in italiano o inglese (se la lingua non è italiana), come richiesto nel successivo paragrafo.
Film pubblicitari e di propaganda non sono accettati.

Iscrizione e selezione
L’iscrizione deve essere effettuata esclusivamente tramite la piattaforma FilmFreeway.
La data limite per l’iscrizione è il 30 settembre 2020.
Il costo di iscrizione è di 15 dollari.
All’iscrizione vanno allegati obbligatoriamente:
• locandina e/o foto rappresentativa del corto;
• sinossi del corto (non obbligatoria per la categoria 4 videoclip, ma consigliabile)
• file dei sottotitoli (possibilmente in formato srt) oppure lista dialoghi con time-code;
• upload del corto (senza sottotitoli sovraimpressi).
Qualora il partecipante lo ritenga opportuno, può allegare ulteriore materiale illustrativo e descrittivo del proprio progetto (schede tecniche, curricula, ecc.)
Ogni corto iscritto e selezionato per la competizione non potrà essere ritirato dalla selezione stessa. Nel caso ciò occorra la Direzione del Festival si riserva di adire le vie legali per ottenere il risarcimento di eventuali danni.
I corti vincitori degli allori mensili e la programmazione del festival saranno comunicati sul sito www.agnonefilmfestival.com e mediante e-mail.
Il trofeo da assegnare al vincitore assoluto e l’ulteriore premio in denaro di 500$ saranno consegnati esclusivamente se lo stesso vincitore (o un suo rappresentante) sarà presente nella serata finale: in caso contrario entrambi i premi non saranno assegnati e rimarranno nella disponibilità dell’organizzazione.

Autorizzazione al trattamento dei dati
Con la partecipazione al concorso, l’autore autorizza il trattamento dei dati personali contenuti nei corti e nel materiale complementare.

Diffusione televisiva, internet e a mezzo stampa
Con la partecipazione al concorso l’autore autorizza l’organizzazione a riprodurre e diffondere, a titolo gratuito, in televisione e siti internet o su riviste cartacee o online, degli estratti dei corti selezionati oppure foto per l’Agnone IFF.
Tali estratti sono limitati al 10% della durata totale di ogni corto e comunque non possono eccedere i tre minuti.
Possono essere utilizzati solamente in interviste e/o annunci promozionali o pubblicitari dell’Agnone IFF per la corrente o future edizioni.

Archiviazione
Con la partecipazione al concorso l’autore autorizza l’archiviazione dei corti iscritti alla selezione presso la sede dell’organizzazione, la quale si impegna a catalogarli e renderli disponibili per tutte le proiezioni, manifestazioni e trasmissioni promosse dallo stesso, per scopi culturali e non commerciali (salvo indicazione contraria espressa contestualmente all’iscrizione).

Garanzie
Con l’iscrizione del corto si garantisce all’organizzazione che si detengono o sono stati acquisiti l’insieme dei diritti e autorizzazioni necessari alla partecipazione del corto alle sezioni in concorso, oltre che agli utilizzi concessi all’organizzazione in virtù del presente regolamento.

Casi non previsti e contestazioni
L'iscrizione e la partecipazione al Concorso implicano l'accettazione senza riserve del presente regolamento e della scheda d’iscrizione. L’organizzazione si riserva il diritto di annullare l’iscrizione e prendere ogni altra misura in caso di non rispetto del regolamento.
Per ogni eccezione non rientrante nel suddetto regolamento l’organizzazione si riserva il diritto di assumere decisioni definitive.

Terms and Conditions of Participation
Short films produced, starting as of 1 January 2015, can participate in the competition.
The length of the short film must not exceed 20 minutes, including the closing credits.
The accepted projection formats are: MP4 (preferred); MOV
Short films made in a language other than Italian must be subtitled in Italian or in English, with the exception of section 4 “yellow” relating to video clips, for which no subtitling is required.
Projects not falling into one of the categories referred to in the previous point or that are not subtitled in Italian or English (if the language is not Italian), as requested in the following paragraph, will be disqualified from the Film Festival.

Advertising and propaganda films will not be accepted.
Registration and Selection
Registration must be carried out exclusively on the platform FilmFreeway.
The registration deadline is 30th September 2020.
The registration fee is 15 dollars.
The following information must be attached to the registration form:
• a representative brochure and/or photo of the short film:
• a synopsis of the short film (not obligatory for category 4 video clip, but advisable);
• subtitle file (possibly in SRT format) or a dialogue list with Time-Code;
• upload of the short film (without subtitles overprinted on it).
If a participant considers it necessary or appropriate, he/she may attach further illustrative and descriptive material related to their project (fact sheets, curricula, etc.)
Each short film submitted and selected for the competition cannot be withdrawn from the selection. If that is the case, the Festival Direction reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings to obtain compensation for any damage suffered.
The winners of the short film monthly laurels and the programme of the festival will be communicated on the website www.agnonefilmfestival.com and via email.
The trophy and the additional cash prize of $500,00 will be awarded to the overall winner only if he/she (or an authorized representative of the winner) is present during the final evening: otherwise, both prizes will not be awarded e will remain at the disposal of the organization.

Authorization to Process Personal Data
The participation in the competition implies that the film author authorizes the processing of personal data contained in the short films and in the supplementary material.

Television, Internet and Media Diffusion
Participation in the competition implies that the film author authorizes the organization to reproduce and spread, free of charge, on television, Internet and printed magazines online, extracts from selected short films or the use of photos for the Agnone IFF. These extracts are limited to 10% of the total duration of each short film and cannot however, exceed a duration of three minutes. They can only be used for interviews and/or advertising or promotional purposes by of the Agnone IFF for the current and future editions

Archiving
Participation in the competition implies that the film author authorizes the archiving of the shorts submitted and selected at the headquarters of the organization, which will undertake to catalogue and make them available for all of the screenings, events and broadcasts promoted by the organization, for cultural and non-commercial purposes (unless explicitly indicated otherwise at the time of registration).

Guarantees
In submitting a short film, the organization is guaranteed that they hold or have acquired rights and necessary authorizations for the participation of the short in the competition categories, as well as for the uses granted to the organization under the present Regulation.

In all Other Cases Not Covered and Disagreements
Registration and participation in the competition implies the full and unreserved acceptance of the rules contained in the present Regulation and of the registration form. The organization reserves the right to cancel the registration and to take any other measures in the event of disagreement or non-compliance with these rules and regulations. The organization reserves the right to take final decisions in respect of any exception that does not fall within the present Regulation.
