Afro Civilization Fair

"It was so beautiful to experience the Afrocivilization Fair this year and have my Mama video screened as part of the celebrations. An enriching reminder of the global connection that weaves together the rich tapestry of African Diaspora Arts and Culture. I felt a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation to be part of this amazing network of talent, and to remember that we have sisters and brothers everywhere!
To celebrate our individual and collective achievements, and to lift our voices and each other up, is more important than ever.
Afrocivilization offers a platform for connection, collaboration and creative exchange that inspires and also lays a foundation for individual and collective healing.
I enjoyed getting into deep and multifaceted conversation with Marian in our interview on instalive, covering subjects from identity and belonging to the importance of the Arts, and remembering our connection to nature and indigeneity. This is important work, I look forward to next year!"

Wonderful and organized festival. I was unable to participate in the Directors talk back due to schedule conflict but was very impressed by the festival organization and communication! Thanks for including our film Assaman in the Official Selection this year!
