Adam Campbell-Sing is an amateur filmmaker from the Wirral. His main creative skills include screenwriting, video & image editing, and directing. This short film, alongside his previous directorial effort, Middle Floor (2023), was developed as his final major project while studying Creative Media at Wirral Met College.
Adam’s creative path started at a very early age, long before his diagnosis of Autism at the age of 7. His parents saw his talent for drawing movie posters, and his fascination for logo identities for film and television studios.
By the age of 11, Adam’s first media production was a YouTube web series known as Muddles & Crystals, which ran from 2012 and 2016. During this time, he would develop additional animated shows on the FamilySing Entertainment YouTube channel, which included an epic sci-fi show called Beast Wars, and an adaptation of the mobile game Plants Vs. Zombies.
Adam cites directors like Denis Villeneuve and Christopher Nolan as sources of inspiration for his work. He is particularly inspired by the directorial work of the former, having admired his expertise in cinematography, sound, colour and lighting in his films.
Adam hopes to conclude his college education with the best possible qualification. In the future, he aspires to have an opportunity to work behind the scenes on a major film or television production. His dreams are to create an original superhero concept as a BBC programme, and work on a major film franchise, particularly the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
