Across the Track: Scriptural Interpretation and School Integration in McGregor, Texas

For generations, railroad tracks marked the racial division of McGregor, Texas—segregating the lives, businesses, and opportunities of those living on the ‘wrong side of the track.’ Through the firsthand account of one former student, “Across the Track” explores the painful history of segregation, the fear and uncertainty that accompanied integration, and the faith that sustained her through *her* integration of the local school system.
