We’re two brothers from Brazil, Salomão and Andre Abdala, with 28 and 26 years old. The most important question: "What drives us?"
Making films is the answer.
Since childhood, we’ve been obsessed with cameras, always searching for new angles to tell a story. In 2013, we won a GoPro—our dream camera—and began filming action-packed sports videos, captivated by capturing the action up close. That passion led to our first big break in 2018: an invitation to film a Superbike race. There was no payment, just an opportunity to prove ourselves. The video went viral, catching Honda Racing’s attention. Three months later, Honda hired us to produce all their racing videos, and Abdala Brothers was born.
Inspired by Nolan, Tarantino, and Fincher, we started our journey with commercial campaigns. It was our way of learning filmmaking on a smaller scale while working with high-end cinema equipment early on. We never went to film school; we trusted our instincts and followed our vision.
Today, we’ve directed some of the most iconic campaigns out there: Porsche’s first-ever Brazilian commercial, Leticia Bufoni’s groundbreaking Red Bull stunt, and high-profile videos for Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 featuring Lewis Hamilton. Our work has earned international recognition, including a Webby Award for a Red Bull stunt filmed in the Amazon and an International MotorFilm Award for our Porsche film starring Patrick Dempsey.
