Born in 1996 in Izmir, Yılmaz discovered his passion for theater and cinema during his formative years. Following his graduation from Istanbul University's Department of Political Science and International Relations in 2014, he embarked on a journey into the realm of Radio, Television, and Cinema at Kadir Has University in 2020. Since 2010, he has been actively engaged in acting, directing, and teaching across various theatrical platforms. Over the years, Yılmaz has assumed multifaceted roles within the realms of cinema and television, encompassing casting, screenwriting, direction, cinematography, and post-production. In 2024, he co-founded Chronotope Film alongside Ece Bozkaya. Yılmaz's creative pursuits extend beyond the silver screen; he has also lent his directorial prowess to three music videos. Currently, he oversees the festival circuit for his latest short film, having completed its production, while also offering screenplay consultancy services for diverse projects
