I. PARTICIPANTES
Podrán participar personas mayores de 18 años, ya sea de forma individual o colectiva, excepto para el caso de la categoría “Cortometrajes Realizado por Niños” donde se considerarán menores de 18 años.
Las producciones que se postulan pueden ser de cualquier nacionalidad.
Las producciones en idiomas que no sean en español, deberán adjuntar subtítulos en formato .SRT o .pdf en español y/o inglés.
Se aceptarán hasta tres obras por realizador.
La inscripción para las categorías: Cortometrajes Peruanos, Latinoamericanos y Largometrajes de cualquier país son gratuitas durante toda la convocatoria.
Las producciones animadas inscritas que hayan sido parte de la selección Oficial en competencia o Exhibición de ediciones anteriores del Festival AJAYU serán automáticamente descalificadas.
Participan proyectos animados que hayan sido finalizados a partir del 27 de agosto del año 2019.
II. PLAZOS DE RECEPCIÓN
El plazo de recepción será del 27 de mayo hasta el 27 de agosto del 2022 hasta las 11:59 pm. (Hora Perú). Los proyectos remitidos después de la fecha no serán considerados a menos que la organización haya decidido extender la convocatoria.
Se tomará en cuenta los siguientes plazos:
Inscripción Temprana hasta el 26 de junio del 2022.
Inscripción Regular del 27 de junio hasta el 24 de julio del 2022.
Inscripción Tardía 24 de julio hasta el 27 de agosto 2022.
III. CATEGORÍAS EN COMPETENCIA
El Festival tiene las siguientes categorías:
Cortometrajes de Animación Internacional.
Cortometrajes de Animación Peruana.
Cortometrajes de Animación Latinoamericana.
Cortometrajes animados de Tesis o de Graduación.
Cortometrajes animados realizados por niños (Ajayito).
Largometrajes animados.
Series Animadas.
Consideraciones:
Las producciones podrán competir en solo en una categoría en competencia.
Los cortometrajes no deben superar los 20 (veinte) minutos.
En el caso de largometrajes deben ser superiores a 60 (sesenta) minutos.
En el caso de series solo podrá ser seleccionado un capítulo que no debe superar los 30 (treinta) minutos.
Para el caso de la categoría Cortometrajes de animación Internacional, solo se aceptan obras que no pertenezcan a Latinoamérica y Perú.
La decisión de proyectar trabajos fuera de competencia dependerá de la organización.
Las mejores producciones podrán competir en el Gran premio Ajayu, siendo el reconocimiento más importante del festival.
Las producciones que fueron seleccionadas en exhibición pueden competir por el premio del público.

V. CONDICIONES DE LA COMPETENCIA
Las producciones animadas recibidas podrán ser usadas para la promoción del Festival (utilizando parte del video, no su totalidad, también puede utilizar el teaser o el trailer).
Los directores deben ser autores de los cortometrajes y se comprometen a no presentar materiales audiovisuales y/o fotografías sobre los que no tengan derechos de uso.
La organización del Festival no se responsabiliza de las obras ni del uso inadecuado de los derechos de propiedad intelectual por parte de los autores.
VI. PRESELECCIÓN
Esta preselección se realizará de la siguiente manera:
Después del cierre de postulaciones, el material recibido será preseleccionado por el Equipo de Programación, designado por el comité organizador del Festival.

Producciones seleccionadas por la Organización del Festival
Seguidamente se tendrá una lista de preseleccionados antes de la publicación de resultados, a quienes se les notificará por correo el día 05 de setiembre del 2022. Para ello es importante recalcar, que solamente a los PRESELECCIONADOS que les llegue el correo de preselección, manden el formato de AUTORIZACIÓN (llegará a su correo), el cual debe ser llenado y firmado por el director(a) o responsable de la obra, con ello confirmaran su participación y autorizaran la proyección de su obra en los días del festival en todas nuestras plataformas autorizadas tanto presenciales como virtuales, y además en posteriores Muestras itinerantes presenciales.
En el caso de plataformas virtuales de exhibición de las obras, se tendrá la opción de que el director elija la opción de geolocalización.
El envió de este formato de autorización será un requisito indispensable para ser parte de la Selección Oficial 2022.
VII. DE LOS SELECCIONADOS
La producción animada que haya sido elegida como parte de la Selección Oficial del Festival, deberá presentar:
Una gráfica o dos fotografías del corto con una calidad mínima de 300 dpi.
Una fotografía del director/es. (no obligatorio)
Una imagen del afiche del cortometraje o still (no obligatorio).
Tráiler o teaser (no obligatorio).
El director y/o productor de la producción animada AUTORIZA que la misma sea incluida en la videoteca de AJAYU y en futuras MUESTRAS ITINERANTES presenciales del festival. El director y/o productor de la producción animada AUTORIZAN que se pueda hacer las proyecciones virtuales, para reproducción, comunicación al público y exhibición de su trabajo en exhibiciones gratuitas exclusivas del festival orientado a la formación de audiencias, que se realizará en la página web www.ajayufest.com , a través de CINE AJAYU, con previa inscripción y contraseña durante los días del Festival.
VIII. PREMIOS
Los premios estarán divididos de la siguiente manera:

Menciones Especiales (certificado digital)
IX. CALIFICACIÓN
Las categorías en Competencia (Ver apartado VI), serán calificadas por jurados especialistas destacados del cine y animación.
El Premio del Público aplicará para las producciones en general que se encuentran en competencia y será elegida por votos en las proyecciones presenciales durante los días del Festival.
Las Menciones Especiales están a consideración del jurado calificador y la organización de manera opcional. De haber Menciones Especiales, estas serán proyectadas en las muestras itinerantes futuras.
X. JURADO
El Jurado será establecido por la organización, entre personalidades destacadas del cine y animación, quienes decidirán los premios en las categorías competitivas.
El fallo del Jurado será inapelable y los premios pueden declararse desiertos en caso que no cumplan la calidad establecida por el jurado o no se lleguen a un consenso.
XI. PUBLICACIÓN DE RESULTADOS FINALES
La Selección Oficial en Competencia y en Exhibición se publicará el 12 de septiembre del 2022 en la página web www.ajayufest.com y página de Facebook https://www.facebook.com/ajayufest y se enviarán los laureles correspondientes por correo electrónico.
XII. PREMIACIÓN
La premiación se realizará durante la jornada de clausura del Festival, el 08 de octubre del 2021. Los ganadores se pueden incorporar en sus créditos de inicio el premio obtenido acompañado del laurel del Festival.
XIII. ACEPTACIÓN DE LAS BASES
La participación en este Festival implica la aceptación de las presentes bases. La ausencia de cualquier dato importante en la inscripción, así como del material adjunto a la misma y el incumplimiento de los plazos establecidos, podrá suponer la no participación en el Festival de la obra correspondiente.

I. PARTICIPANTS
• People over 18 years of any nationality may participate, either individually or collectively, except in the case of the category "Short Films Made by Children" where minors will be considered 18 years.

• AJAYU will be automatically disqualified.
• Participate animated projects that have been completed after 27
• of May of the year 2019.
II. RECEPTION DEADLINES
The reception period will be from May 28 to August 27, 2022 until 11:59 p.m. (Peru time). Projects submitted after the date will not be considered unless the organization has decided to extend the announcement.
The following deadlines will be taken into account:
• Early registration until June 26, 2022.
• Regular registration from June 27 to July 24, 2022.
• Late Registration July 24 to August 27, 2022.
III. CATEGORIES IN COMPETITION
The Festival has the following categories:
• International Animation Short Films.
• Peruvian Animation Short Films.
• Latin American Animation Short Films.
• Animated Thesis or Graduation short films.
• Animated short films made by children (Ajayito).
• Animated feature films.
• Cartoons.
Considerations:
• Productions may compete in only one category.
• Short films must not exceed 20 (twenty) minutes.
• In the case of feature films, they must be longer than 60 (sixty) minutes.
• In the case of series, only one chapter can be selected that should not be
• exceed 30 (thirty) minutes.
• In the case of the International Animation Short Films category, only
• they accept works that do not belong to Latin America and Peru.
• The decision to project works out of competition will depend on the
• organization.
• The best productions will be able to compete in the Ajayu Grand Prize, being the
• most important recognition of the festival.
• The productions that were selected for exhibition can compete for
• the audience award (face-to-face screening).

V. COMPETITION CONDITIONS
• The animated productions received may be used for the promotion of the Festival (using part of the video, not its entirety, you can also use teaser or trailer).
• Those responsible for the application as directors, producers and/or Distributors must have the rights of the work in application and undertake not to present audiovisual materials and/or photographs on those who do not have rights of use.
• The organization of the Festival is not responsible for the works or the use misuse of intellectual property rights by the authors.
VI. PRESELECTION
This selection will be made as follows: After the closing of applications, the material received will be pre-selected by the Programming Team, designated by the organizing committee of the Festival.

Then there will be a list of shortlisted before the publication of results, who will be notified by mail on September 7, 2022.
For this, it is important to emphasize that only the PRESELECTED that send the AUTHORIZATION format (it will be sent to your email about your pre-selection), which must be filled out and signed by the director or person in charge of the work, with it confirm their participation and authorize the screening of their work on the days of the festival on all our authorized platforms, both face-to-face and virtual, and also in later itinerant face-to-face exhibitions.
In the case of virtual platforms for the exhibition of works, there will be the option of that the director choose the geolocation option.
Sending this authorization form will be an essential requirement to be part of of the Official Selection 2022.
VII. OF THE SELECTED
The animated production that has been chosen as part of the Official Selection of the Festival, you must present:
• One or two graphics of the short with a minimum quality of 300 dpi.
• A photograph of the director/s. (not required)
• An image of the short film poster or still (not mandatory).
• Trailer or teaser (not mandatory).
The director and/or producer of the animated production AUTHORIZES that it be included in the AJAYU video library and in itinerant face-to-face exhibitions, virtual projections, for reproduction, communication to the public and exhibition of your work in exclusive free exhibitions of the festival oriented to the formation of hearings, which will be held on the website www.ajayufest.com , through CINE AJAYU, with prior registration and password during the days of the Festival. In the case of virtual platforms for the exhibition of the works, there will be the option that the director choose the geolocation option.

IX. QUALIFICATION
The categories in Competition (See section VI), will be qualified by juries prominent film and animation specialists.
The Audience Award will apply to productions in general that are in competition and will be chosen by votes in the face-to-face screenings during the festival days.
The Special Mentions are considered by the qualifying jury and the optional organization. If there are Special Mentions, these will be projected in future traveling exhibitions.
X. JURY
The Jury will be established by the organization, among outstanding personalities of the cinema and animation, who will decide the prizes in the competitive categories.
The Jury's decision will be final and the prizes may be declared void in case that do not meet the quality established by the jury or do not reach a consensus.
XI. PUBLICATION OF FINAL RESULTS
The Official Selection in Competition and in Exhibition will be published on September 12 2022 on the website www.ajayufest.com and Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ajayufest and the corresponding laurels will be sent by email.
XII. AWARDS
The award ceremony will be held during the closing day of the Festival, on October 8 of 2022. The winners can incorporate the prize in their starting credits obtained accompanied by the laurel of the Festival.
XIII. ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES
Participation in this Festival implies acceptance of these rules. The absence of any important data in the registration, as well as the attached material to it and non-compliance with the established deadlines, may lead to the non-compliance participation in the Festival of the corresponding work.
