AI.motion is the Italian film festival dedicated to cinema generated with artificial intelligence.
The 2nd edition will take place on October 9th and 10th at IULM University in Milan, Italy.

The festival explores the new aesthetics of the seventh art shaped by generative algorithms, focusing on the creative potential of AI in visual storytelling.
We accept submissions in three categories:

Short Movies
Videoclips
Advertising / Commercials

Works must be created with the use of AI tools and must include a brief description of the techniques and algorithms used (e.g., models, workflows etc).

AI.motion includes free screenings, talks, and workshops, fostering an open dialogue between artists, researchers, and the public on the future of audiovisual language.

The festival is a project by IULM AI Lab and the Neural Network Cultural Association, hosted by IULM University.

Rules & Terms

There is no submission fee

Only films created with AI are accepted.
Submitted movies must be combined with a list of the algorithms involved in the production.

If a film is selected, the festival will not pay any screening fee nor will be obliged to invite the director or cast & crew.
