The 7SIFF is open to the best seven-second films from around the world, regardless of previous screenings, awards, accolades, etc.

INTRODUCTION

The 7SIFF is a seven-second International Film Festival and competition in which filmmakers will compete to have their seven-second films selected to be screened during the festival on the festival's platforms for jury and audience awards. The 7SIFF accepts seven-second films to compete. And films of other lengths for paralel screening only. Seven-second films will compete for the People's Choice Jury and People's Choice Audience Awards.

2. ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to anyone capable of creating a seven-second film.

Minors may submit films to participate, but in case of winning only a CONSENT OF PARENT OR GUARDIAN may sign the award agreement.

The ARGENTINE UNIVERSITY FILM and INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY FILM categories are only open to participants who are pursuing a university, tertiary or high school degree, not being valid to be studying a course, workshop or other type of non-official education.

Employees of 7SIFF, their respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, or the direct relatives of each one of them are not eligible to participate. 7SIFF shall have the right to terminate, suspend or modify the contest or the official rules at any time.

4. REGISTRATION PROCESS

Complete the following steps to register and submit your film:

Visit www.7siff.com (the "Entry Site"), click "submit" and you will be redirected to FilmFreeway (or visit the domain directly: www.filmfreeway.com/7siff).
All films accepted for the final jury vote must have completed this unique entry process.
All seven-second films entered on the 7SIFF Entry Site will be reviewed by the 7SIFF Selection Committee, the Executive Directors and/or 7SIFF staff, who will evaluate whether they are eligible to participate in the official 7SIFF selection.
In the event that more than one person or group was involved in the production of a film submitted for entry, the film will be considered entered by the person or group whose name was submitted through the entry process. If the film is selected as the winner in its category, the prize will be awarded only to that person or group. Each participant may submit more than one film without limit. You must choose between Argentine Film and NON-Argentine Film and whether you are a student or not.

Student films from all over the world: FREE

Non-Argentine films: Standard with deadline: 4 USD, Gold members: 3 USD. Standard with deadline: 5 USD, gold members: 4 USD.

Argentinian movies over seven seconds: FREE.
Foreing movies over seven seconds: early deadline: 1 USD, standard deadline: 2 USD
Fees are non-refundable.

Entries will only be accepted through the FilmFreeway platform.

5. FILM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All films must meet the following requirements and specifications to be eligible:

The film must be exactly seven seconds (7") in length, but not including the title and credits. The title must be 2 seconds long and the credits must be 4 seconds long. Total time: 13".

You may also submit longer (or even shorter) films, which will be considered for screening in the non-competitive section.

Works that are not in Spanish must include Spanish subtitles.

If your film is chosen for the competition categories, and it is not in Spanish, you must submit Spanish subtitles and the SRT file. (The 7SIFF team will assist you in this process if necessary).

The 7SIFF reserves the right to reject any entry at its own discretion. The submitted material must not contain obscene, illegal or objectionable material.
The film must not contain, at the sole and unfettered discretion of the 7SIFF, any sexually explicit, derogatory, defamatory or any other inappropriate content.
Content created to promote any product or service (e.g., television commercials) will not be accepted.

Not all entries will be part of the official selection of the festival.

6. INVITED WORKS

The works invited to participate in the festival will be screened in the paralel screening section. Not every 7-seconds movie will compete, there will be a 7-seconds paralel screening for movies that didn’t make to the competition, but that the programmers considered they diserved difusion.

7. VOTING, QUALIFICATION, JUDGING AND PRIZES

VOTING AND AUDIENCE RATING PHASE

The works will be posted on www.7siff.com and youtube channel and will be available for public viewing during the festival dates. During the public voting phase, anyone visiting the site will be able to rate the films. The film with the most votes from the public will be eligible to receive the 7SIFF People's Choice Award. Limit: one (1) vote per person, per email address during the competition period and per IP address. Votes generated by scripts, macros, other automated means, use of databases or any other means intended to affect the integrity of the voting process, as determined by 7SIFF, are void. The entry with the most votes from the public will receive the audience award. By voting you agree to receive our newsletter. The 7SIFF reserves the right to reject any vote that it considers suspicious.

7SIFF JURY VOTING

Competing films will be judged by an international jury of film, media, arts and entertainment professionals ("7SIFF Jury") selected by 7SIFF. The 7SIFF Jury will award one film as "BEST ARGENTINE FILM", one "BEST FOREING FILM" (non-Argentine), one "GRAND PRIZE" and one for each category. The jury will reach its conclusion based on two criteria 1) films that "resonate" beyond seven seconds, films that affect the viewer in the same way a great film does, and 2) films with potential for continuity, serial expansion, short, or even a feature film will be considered.

Each winning film will receive a diploma. Only the GRAND PRIZE winner will also receive a trophy.

The Enchulame la Cámara Award will be chosen among the participants of the University Film category and consists of free rental of filming equipment. The equipment will be subject to availability as indicated by Enchulame la Cámara, and must be picked up at the rental headquarters.

8. IF YOUR WORK IS SELECTED

You must provide the following

High resolution exhibition copy on a specific date.
Specs: 4K 24FPS. Sound: -1db
Complete digital press kits including film stills, poster, director's photo and social media links, as well as director's biography and filmography.

Filmmakers whose works are selected for the Festival grant 7SIFF and 7SIFF's collaborators (partner festivals, other filmmakers, partner brands) the rights to use the film, footage, still images and/or titles and film information for promotional purposes.
Filmmakers whose works are selected for the Festival agree to provide director and producer contact information and grant the Festival the right to provide this information to film industry organizations sponsoring Festival events at their discretion.

All the 7 seconds movies will remain exhibited at 7siff’s youtube channel and/or social media channels (unless the submitter denies it).

10. THIRD PARTY RIGHTS AND CLEARANCES

All seven-second films must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity. If the film contains material or elements that are not owned by the entrant and/or are subject to the rights of third parties, the entrant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the film, all necessary authorizations and consents to permit the use and exploitation of the film by 7SIFF in the manner set forth in the Official Rules without additional compensation, including, without limitation, location clearances for material shot in any location; name, voice and likeness assignments for any person whose name, voice and/or likeness appears in the Film (other than the Participant); assignments for the use of any props, sets and other materials used in the Film; assignments for any person involved in the production of the Film; and assignments for any other audio and/or audiovisual material not wholly owned by the Participant that, in each case, is used in the Film (collectively, the "Assignments"). If any person appearing in the film is a minor in his/her state of residence, the signature of a parent or legal guardian is required on each release. All signatures must be originals.

11. SPONSOR'S DISQUALIFICATION RIGHTS

At any time during the Contest, the 7SIFF reserves the right, in its sole and unlimited discretion, to disqualify and remove any film that potentially or actually infringes the copyrights of any third party. 7SIFF reserves the right, in its sole and unfettered discretion, to verify at any time during the Contest that all necessary clearances have been obtained in connection with any film. If 7SIFF believes, in its sole and unfettered discretion, that an entrant has not obtained any of the necessary clearances relating to the entrant's film, the entrant's film will be disqualified and eliminated.

12. PERMISSIONS FOR ENTRANTS

By participating in this Contest, entrants agree that during the Contest Period, 7SIFF and its sponsors and partners are authorized to show the films on the 7SIFF Site and in any other media related to the Contest.
By entering the Contest, entrants authorize 7SIFF to use their names, likenesses, photographs, voices, sounds and/or biographical information and films in connection with the Contest and for all advertising and promotional purposes related to the Contest without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
As a condition of being a winner in any of the 7SIFF Categories, each winner must sign a Release Agreement Form granting 7SIFF i) the right to show their film, in whole or in part, on the 7SIFF Site and/or on any website/social media owned or operated by or on behalf of 7SIFF or any of its related or affiliated companies, and on any website owned or operated by or on behalf of 7SIFF; (ii) the right to use your film to create trailers, either for individual films or as a collection of films; and/or (iii) the right, if your film is selected as a 7SIFF Best Film, to show the film on any website owned or operated by or on behalf of 7SIFF. com after the end of the Competition Period.

13. INTERNET

7SIFF is not responsible for technical failures of any kind or for problems or delays resulting from any technical, software or equipment failure, computer viruses, congestion or unavailability of the 7SIFF Screening Room or the Entry Site during the Contest Period, any other technical, equipment or human error of any kind, or any damage or alteration to your film that may occur in connection with the uploading or exhibition of the film. If 7SIFF determines, in its sole discretion, that there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering or fraud related to any part of the Contest, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, 7SIFF reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. 7SIFF is not responsible for any failure to screen seven-second films at any venue if such failure is due to circumstances beyond its control.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By entering this contest, entrants release and hold harmless 7SIFF and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, assigns, agents, representatives, independent contractors, officers, employees and directors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, costs, damages and expenses of any kind arising out of or related to their participation in this contest, their use or acceptance of any prize, 7SIFF's use of any film submitted by entrants and/or any actions or decisions of 7SIFF in connection with the conduct and administration of this contest. Entrants hereby waive any right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in connection with any claim against 7SIFF, any of the co-sponsors, or any of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, assigns, agents, representatives, independent contractors, officers, employees and directors.

15. MISCELLANEOUS

The Contest is governed by and subject to the laws of Argentina. The decisions of 7SIFF are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.

El 7SIFF es el festival internacional de cine de siete segundos que muestra, premia y promueve las mejores películas de siete segundos de todo el mundo. El 7SIFF está construido para promover las nuevas tendencias de comunicación. Las películas se exhiben en nuestras plataformas y son premiadas por un jurado internacional y por el público.

El 7SIFF está abierto a las mejores películas de siete segundos de todo el mundo, independientemente de las proyecciones anteriores, los premios, los galardones, etc.

1. INTRODUCCIÓN

El 7SIFF es un Festival Internacional de Cine de siete segundos y una competición en la que los cineastas competirán para que sus películas de siete segundos sean seleccionadas para ser proyectadas durante el festival en las plataformas del festival para que el jurado y el público las premien. El 7SIFF acepta películas de siete segundos para competir. Y películas de otras duraciones sólo para su exhibición paralela. Algunas películas de siete segundos competirán por los premios del jurado y del público People's Choice. ('Categorías del 7SIFF'), mientras que otras únicamente en la proyección parelela (no competitiva).

2. ELEGIBILIDAD

El concurso está abierto a todas las personas capaces de crear una película de siete segundos.

Los menores de edad pueden presentar películas a participar, pero en caso de ganar sólo un CONSENTIMIENTO DEL PADRE O TUTOR puede firmar el acuerdo de adjudicación del mismo.

La categoría PELÍCULA UNIVERSITARIA ARGENTINA y PELÍCULA UNIVERSITARIA INTERNACIONAL está únicamente abierta a participantes que estén cursando una carrera universitaria, terciaria o secundario, no siendo válido estar estudiando un curso, workshop u otro tipo de educación no oficial.

No podrán participar los empleados de 7SIFF, ni sus respectivas filiales, matrices, subsidiarias, ni los familiares directos de cada uno de ellos. 7SIFF tendrá derecho a terminar, suspender o modificar el concurso o las reglas oficiales en cualquier momento.

4. PROCESO DE INSCRIPCIÓN

Complete los siguientes pasos para registrarse y presentar su película:

Visite www.7siff.com (el "Sitio de Inscripción"), haga clic en "submit" y será redirigido a FilmFreeway (o mismo visitar directamente el dominio: www.filmfreeway.com/7siff).
Todas las películas aceptadas para la votación final del jurado deben haber completado este único proceso de inscripción.
Todas las películas de siete segundos inscritas en el Sitio de Inscripción del 7SIFF serán revisadas por el Comité de Selección del 7SIFF, los Directores Ejecutivos y/o el personal del 7SIFF, quienes evaluarán si son elegibles para participar dentro de la selección oficial de 7SIFF.
En el caso de que más de una persona o grupo haya participado en la producción de una película presentada para su inscripción, la película se considerará inscrita por la persona o grupo cuyo nombre se haya presentado a través del proceso de inscripción. Si la película es seleccionada como ganadora en su categoría, el premio se otorgará únicamente a esa persona o grupo. Cada participante puede presentar más de una película sin límite. Deberá elegir entre Película Argentina y Película NO Argentina y si es estudiante o no.

Películas argentinas de más de siete segundos: gratis.
Películas extranjeras de más de 7 segundos: Estandar 1 USD, Extended deadline: 2 USD

Las inscripciones serán únicamente aceptadas a través de la plataforma FilmFreeway.

5. REQUISITOS DE INSCRIPCIÓN DE PELÍCULAS

Todas las películas deben cumplir los siguientes requisitos y especificaciones para ser elegibles:

La película debe tener una duración exacta de siete segundos (7"), pero sin incluir el título y los créditos. El título debe durar 2 segundos y los créditos 4 segundos. Tiempo total: 13".

También puede presentar películas más largas (o incluso más cortas), que se considerarán para ser exhibidas en la sección paralela no competitiva.

Las obras que no sean en español deberán incluir subtítulos en español.

Si su película es elegida para las categorías de competición, y no está en español, deberá enviar los subtítulos en español y el archivo SRT. (El equipo del 7SIFF le ayudará en todo el proceso si es necesario)

El 7SIFF se reservará el derecho de rechazar cualquier entrada a su propia discreción. El material presentado no debe contener material obsceno, ilegal o censurable.
La película no debe contener, a la sola e irrestricta discreción del 7SIFF, ningún contenido sexualmente explícito, despectivo, difamatorio o cualquier otro contenido inapropiado.
No se aceptarán contenidos creados para promocionar cualquier producto o servicio (por ejemplo, anuncios de televisión).

Inscribirse no implica ya formar parte del festival. Los programadores decidirán qué películas serán proyectadas.
No todos los inscriptos formarán parte de la proyección competitiva del festival.

6. OBRAS INVITADAS

Las obras invitadas a participar en el festival se proyectarán en la sección fuera de competencia. Tanto largas como de 7 segundos (películas que no entraron en competencia, pero que los programadores consideran valioso difundir).

7. VOTACIÓN, CALIFICACIÓN, JUICIO Y PREMIOS

FASE DE VOTACIÓN Y CALIFICACIÓN DEL PÚBLICO

Los trabajos se publicarán en www.7siff.com y estarán disponibles para su visionado público durante las fechas del festival. Durante la fase de votación pública, cualquier persona que visite el sitio podrá calificar las películas. La película con más votos del público podrá recibir el premio 7SIFF People's Choice. Límite: un (1) voto por persona, por dirección de correo electrónico y por dirección IP durante el periodo de competición. Son nulos los votos generados por scripts, macros, otros medios automatizados, utilización de bases de datos o cualquier otro medio que pretenda afectar a la integridad del proceso de votación, tal y como lo determina el 7SIFF. El 7SIFF se reservará el derecho de rechazar cualquier voto que considere sospechoso.

VOTACIÓN DEL JURADO DEL 7SIFF

Las películas que compitan serán juzgadas por un jurado internacional de profesionales del cine, los medios de comunicación, las artes y el entretenimiento ("Jurado del 7SIFF") seleccionado por el 7SIFF. El Jurado del 7SIFF premiará una película como "MEJOR PELÍCULA ARGENTINA", una "MEJOR PELÍCULA EXTRANJERA" (no argentina), un "GRAN PREMIO" y uno por cada categoría. El jurado llegará a su conclusión basándose en dos criterios 1) películas que "resuenen" más allá de los siete segundos, películas que afecten al espectador de la misma manera que lo hace una gran película, y 2) se tendrán en cuenta las películas con potencial de continuidad, de expansión en serie, corto, o incluso un largometraje.

Cada película premiada recibirá un diploma. Sólo el ganador del GRAN PREMIO recibirá además un trofeo.

8. SI SU OBRA ES SELECCIONADA

Deberá proporcionar lo siguiente

Copia de exhibición en alta resolución en una fecha determinada.
Especificaciones: 4K 24fps. Sonido: -1db
Kits de prensa digitales completos que incluyan fotogramas de la película, poster,foto del director y enlaces a las redes sociales, además de biografía y filmografía del director.
Los cineastas cuyas obras sean seleccionadas para el Festival, conceden al 7SIFF y a los colaboradores de 7SIFF (festivales asociados, otros directores, marcas asociadas), los derechos de uso de la película, secuencias, las imágenes fijas y/o los títulos y la información de la película con fines promocionales.
Los cineastas cuyas obras sean seleccionadas para el festival aceptan proporcionar la información de contacto del director y del productor y conceden al Festival el derecho a proporcionar esta información a las organizaciones de la industria cinematográfica que patrocinan los eventos del Festival a su discreción.

10. DERECHOS DE TERCEROS Y AUTORIZACIONES

Todas las películas de siete segundos deben ser el trabajo original del participante y no deben infringir los derechos de autor, marcas registradas, derechos de privacidad, publicidad u otra propiedad intelectual u otros derechos de cualquier persona o entidad. Si la película contiene material o elementos que no son propiedad del participante y/o que están sujetos a los derechos de terceros, el participante es responsable de obtener, antes de la presentación de la película, todas las autorizaciones y consentimientos necesarios para permitir el uso y la explotación de la película por parte del 7SIFF en la forma establecida en las Reglas Oficiales sin compensación adicional, incluyendo, sin limitación, las autorizaciones de localización para el material rodado en cualquier lugar; cesiones de nombre, voz y retrato de cualquier persona cuyo nombre, voz y/o retrato aparezca en la película (que no sea el participante); cesiones para el uso de cualquier atrezzo, decorado y otros materiales utilizados en la película; cesiones de cualquier persona que participe en la producción de la película y cesiones para cualquier otro material de audio y/o audiovisual que no sea de propiedad exclusiva del participante y que, en cada caso, se utilice en la película (colectivamente, las "Cesiones"). Si alguna de las personas que aparecen en la película es menor de edad en su estado de residencia, se requiere la firma de uno de los padres o del tutor legal en cada autorización. Todas las firmas deben ser originales.

11. DERECHOS DE DESCALIFICACIÓN DEL PATROCINADOR

En cualquier momento durante el Concurso, el 7SIFF se reserva el derecho, a su única e ilimitada discreción, de descalificar y eliminar cualquier película que potencialmente o efectivamente infrinja los derechos de autor de terceros. El 7SIFF se reserva el derecho, a su sola e irrestricta discreción, de verificar en cualquier momento del Concurso que se han obtenido todas las autorizaciones necesarias en relación con cualquier película. Si 7SIFF cree, a su única e ilimitada discreción, que un participante no ha obtenido ninguna de las autorizaciones necesarias relacionadas con la película del participante, la película del participante será descalificada y eliminada.

12. PERMISOS PARA LOS PARTICIPANTES

Al participar en este Concurso, los participantes aceptan que durante el Periodo del Concurso, el 7SIFF y sus patrocinadores y socios están autorizados a mostrar las películas en el Sitio del 7SIFF y en cualquier otro medio relacionado con el Concurso.
Al participar en el Concurso, los participantes autorizan a 7SIFF a utilizar sus nombres, parecidos, fotografías, voces, sonidos y/o información biográfica y películas en relación con el Concurso y para todos los fines publicitarios y promocionales relacionados con el Concurso sin compensación adicional, a menos que la ley lo prohíba.
Como condición para resultar ganador en cualquiera de las Categorías del 7SIFF, cada ganador deberá firmar un Formulario de Acuerdo de Liberación que otorga al 7SIFF i) el derecho a mostrar su película, en su totalidad o en parte, en el Sitio del 7SIFF y/o en cualquier sitio web/medios sociales que sean propiedad o estén operados por o en nombre del 7SIFF o cualquiera de sus compañías relacionadas o afiliadas, y en cualquier sitio web que sea propiedad o esté operado por o en nombre del 7SIFF; ii) el derecho a utilizar su película para crear trailers, ya sea para películas individuales o como una colección de películas; y/o (iii) el derecho, si su película es seleccionada como la Mejor Película del 7SIFF, a mostrar la película en cualquier sitio web que sea propiedad u operado por o en nombre del 7SIFF. Como también tras la finalización del Periodo de Competición.
Las películas de 7 segundos quedarán exhibidas en el canal de youtube de 7siff y/o sus redes sociales a menos que los responsables soliciten lo contrario.

13. INTERNET

7SIFF no se responsabiliza de los fallos técnicos de ningún tipo ni de los problemas o retrasos derivados de cualquier fallo técnico, de software o de equipo, de los virus informáticos, de la congestión o de la falta de disponibilidad de la Sala de Proyección de 7SIFF o del Sitio de Inscripción durante el Periodo del Concurso, de cualquier otro error técnico, de equipo o humano de cualquier tipo, o de cualquier daño o alteración de su película que pueda producirse en relación con la carga o exhibición de la película. Si 7SIFF determina, a su sola discreción, que hay cualquier evidencia sospechosa o real de manipulación electrónica o no electrónica o fraude relacionado con cualquier parte del Concurso, o si las dificultades técnicas comprometen la integridad del Concurso, 7SIFF se reserva el derecho de cancelar, terminar, modificar o suspender el Concurso, en su totalidad o en parte, en cualquier momento sin previo aviso. El 7SIFF no es responsable de que no se proyecten películas de siete segundos en ninguna sede si ese fallo se debe a circunstancias ajenas a su control.

14. LIMITACIÓN DE LA RESPONSABILIDAD

Al participar en este concurso, los participantes liberan y eximen a 7SIFF y a sus respectivas filiales, subsidiarias, cesionarios, agentes, representantes, contratistas independientes, funcionarios, empleados y directores de y contra cualquier reclamación, responsabilidad, costes, daños y gastos de cualquier tipo que surjan de o estén relacionados con su participación en este concurso, su uso o aceptación de cualquier premio, el uso por parte de 7SIFF de cualquier película presentada por los participantes y/o cualquier acción o decisión de 7SIFF en relación con la realización y administración de este concurso. Los participantes renuncian por la presente a cualquier derecho a solicitar medidas cautelares o cualquier otra reparación equitativa en relación con cualquier reclamación contra el 7SIFF, cualquiera de los copatrocinadores, o cualquiera de sus respectivas filiales, subsidiarias, cesionarios, agentes, representantes, contratistas independientes, funcionarios, empleados y directores.

15. MISCELÁNEOS

El Concurso se rige y está sujeto a las leyes de Argentina. Las decisiones de 7SIFF son definitivas y vinculantes en todos los asuntos relacionados con este Concurso.

16. FORMULARIO DE INSCRIPCIÓN AL FESTIVAL

Por favor, lea el reglamento del festival antes de pasar al formulario de inscripción. Al enviar el formulario de inscripción, el participante está aceptando este reglamento.

17. INSCRIPCIÓN EN EL FESTIVAL DE CINE 7SIFF

Todas las películas deben ser submitidas a través de www.filmfreeway.com/7siff
