50/50 Vol. 08 — Horror

50/50 Horror is a one-night international short film festival showcasing bold, original Horror shorts from emerging filmmakers.

Our goal is simple: put great films in front of people who can actually help move careers forward. Past audiences have included representatives from Monkeypaw, Blumhouse, A24, CAA, UTA, WME, and other industry professionals actively seeking new voices.

50/50 Horror programs a curated selection of short films in an intentionally intimate setting, prioritizing community and conversation over scale.

The 50/50 fest is such a wonderful experience. I really felt appreciated and happy to meet so many different people who are passionate about making films. I appreciate the structure of the event and how impassioned the team is in creating an atmosphere of making connections that are more than just business, but a friendship too.

Would recommend it to anyone and everyone I know!

  • We had an incredible evening showcasing our short film 'Indian in a Box' alongside some other wonderful work! Our cast and crew had a blast, we loved all the movies we saw, and we're so honored to have won the Audience Award.

At a time when being a young creative in this industry feels particularly daunting and hopeless, events like 50/50 are a much-needed reminder that a supportive community can go a long way.

The 50/50 Horror Fest is an awesome fest! They communicate well leading up to the event, and WOW, do they know how to throw a screening? I felt so celebrated by this festival and also that my work was being seen by people who could actually advance my career. I highly recommend it!

This is a great festival. Luke, Michael and team were really communicative and made the process easy. This is easily the most social festival I've been a part of. I would highly recommend. Really Glad "Shiver" got a chance to screen

Easily one of the best festivals I have been to. Luke, Michael and crew were communicative in the weeks leading up to the festival and they are clearly passionate about giving young filmmakers many opportunities to network with industry professionals. This is the festival to attend to jumpstart your career.
