Zygote | Ζψγοτε
After a troubled love story now finished one year ago, Federico and Adèle meet each other again by chance in the elevator of the building where he lives, and the attraction doesn’t seem to have gone away at all. They spend the evening together, all seems to be fine until, punctual, an old discussion about Gianluca (a friend of hers) comes back, maybe she will go to India with him for a spitirual journey. Federico reacts harshly, and the woman, feeling trapped again, goes away.
The perturbation affects their everyday life, they return to be psychologically lost, but they can find stability by drawing strength from their passions: she does it with yoga, he does it with juggling. But now we have two different reactions: she’s done with her ex, he takes courage and goes where the woman works, to calmly get closer again, but here he just meets Gianluca, he didn’t know they were working together, and, although between them there’s nothing more than a great friendship, he reacts badly again. Everything seems lost, but then he adjusts approach and he calms down, saving the situation and surprisingly obtaining the desired reconciliation.
Everything leads into the most complete passion: sex, but then, when all seems resolved, she talks about India again, and he, although quietly, remains disappointed, surrendered.
So we suddenly return to the initial elevator, same scene, but now it's different: everything we've seen has shown what could happen if they reconnected agian, but the two remain temperamentally too incompatible; therefore we see them understand this reality not seeking a new union, but reaching the difficult acceptance of a distance that can never be bridged, despite the instinctive attraction that will never really go away.

Lorenzo Gomiero, born in 1995, graduated from the scientific high school of Civita Castellana (Italy) in 2014, and then he decided to take the path he had dreamed since childhood: cinema, through the Lorenzo da Viterbo Academy of Fine Arts, where he achieved a bachelor of fine arts in Cinema and Television in 2017.
Fascinated by numerous artistic modalities, Lorenzo is a writer, keyboardist, composer, photographer, director, documentary filmmaker, screenwriter, editor, and I would dare to add: chronic dreamer.
In 2013, together with his friend Emidio Mazzilli, he was among the winners of the contest "I giovani incontrano la Shoah" with the musical piece "Lesen Macht Frei"; in 2014 he took part in the sound art exhibition "Open Museum Open City" at the MAXXI museum in Rome, with the works "Conversazione" and "Generazioni musicali", together with the works of other students of the Academy of Fine Arts, in the "SOUNDS PORTRAITS" installation. In 2015 he made his first short film: "GAME OVER", but then there were other video works such as "Oltre l'orizzonte", "STEAMPUNK - Fake Teaser Trailer", about twenty local advertising spots on behalf of the Cinetuscia Village cinema in Vitorchiano, "Sbarramento Surreale", made in collaboration with Valentina Spiriti, "EVENFALL", a metaphysical short film based on various visual effects, and finally "Zygote | Ζψγοτε", that experiences with an original never-before-seen triangular aspect ratio, called D.R.T. (Double Reversed Trigonoscope). In 2016 he took part in the commercial "Vodafone Pay" (directed by Gabriele Paoli, with Salvatore Esposito and Jun Ichikawa) as a script supervisor.
