URBANO

URBANO is a ride through the charming streets of old Havana and a glimpse into the life of one of her bicitaxi riders. Pedalling alongside majestic buildings, reminiscent of a crumbling past that seems to be haunting this vibrant city, Urbano takes us on a journey where struggle and hope, harshness and tenderness, music, rum and love mix together in an honest portrait of the Cuban capital and the spirit of her people.

Director Biography - Ken Kamara, Arianna Marin

We are a husband and wife film-making duo, Ken Kamara & Arianna Marin. Our synergy started over 5 years ago, when we decided to join our journalistic and cinematic knowledge to tell heartwarming stories of beautiful people we are blessed to meet in our daily life and travels. 

Our first short film, MASTERMONO, was selected by quite a number of international Film Festivals, among which Cheap Cut in London, Cine Globe at the CERN, GIEFF, and it won the Best Short Film Award at the Marin County International Film Festival and CIK, plus the Jury Diploma at Sochi Film Festival.
