Carlos Santiago Amézquita Villamizar (Colombia. 1990 —Currently based in Mexico). MA in Creative Writing. Poet, screenwriter and researcher. Winner of the first prize for poetry in the Huila (Colombia) Literature Contest in 2019 and 2022, and for short story in 2021. His poems have been published in magazines and anthologies in Mexico, Argentina and Colombia. He has participated in festivals both in written poetry and film poetry. As a screenwriter, he has dabbled in science fiction, fantasy, and drama, and more recently in hybrid documentary. In 2016, he directed a feature film titled VIDA, which has participated in festivals and screenings in Colombia, India, and Argentina.
I have a profound interest in the encounter between fantasy and philosophy, specially in the possible worlds and narratives that derive from that relationship. My main goal is to explore time and experience in alternative realities.
