Uniquely Human - A Different Way of Seeing Autism

Logline : A unique, different, fascinating way looking into the world of Autism and Disability. A film to inspire, create change and to Think Different about Autistic Adults.

Uniquely Human , is a short part-animated live film made by critically acclaimed Autistic filmmaker, Actor, Voice Actor, Voice Over - Sam Downie.

Uniquely Human shows how Autistic Neurodiverse Disabled people are described and treated. The film uses animated VFX, Sound FX, a Voiceover (Narrator) and a short Cinematic Soundtrack which are used to create a dramatic storyline. It's a film made by 1st time Disabled filmmaker Sam Downie that features on screen Autistic actors.

The drive for Diversity, Inclusion and Disability is not new in the UK Film industry. But could the momentum and the challenge of Covid make 2020 a year of real change as the twin crises puts the spotlight on inequality as never before? It seems my short film Uniquely Human now brings all this, to the forefront.

All performers in this film have Autism or are on the Neurodiverse Spectrum.
