Danny Payne, an Army veteran returns to his old boxing club in Cambridge, England to take part in the annual contest against the famous University squad. However his wartime experiences have damaged him and he needs to seek help before he can face the bright lights and intensity of the boxing ring.

Director Biography - Mark Hampton

Mark Hampton is an actor who has appeared in numerous film, tv and commercial productions before starting to write and direct. In 2013 he was a global finalist in the Jameson's Empire Done in 60 Seconds competition, and in 2014 took his short film 'A Walk in the Woods' to the Cannes Film Festival. Living in Cambridge, UK, he was inspired to make his next film by the real-life Town vs Gown boxing match.

When I saw the real Town vs Gown I witnessed a literal, visceral clash of cultures in the boxing ring and immediately knew I had found a great centrepiece for a movie.
